Graduated! Onto the next big thing…

I can’t start this off without talking about how grateful I am. I started wrestling only my freshman year and I think nonstop about the insta caption on my first post, “it’s not how you started but how it will end”. I ended my senior season as my most successful season with the most amount of wins including making state. Throughout my seasons I was accompanied by great people, especially my coaches who I can’t thank enough. They got me where I am today. They were the ones who helped me through it all, even the losses, although I may not have shown enough emotion. To cope with those kinds of things I turned to this verse in the Quran that says, “-And we alternate the days (of victory and defeat) among the people” (3:140). Every match I began with prayer and ended with gratitude no matter the outcome because I know someone out there is wishing to be in the place I was in. This paragraph is not meant to be taken as a sad post but rather a reflection of how fast four years can go by without notice. It really makes you think maybe the “get into groups of three”, or the “get ready to go live” weren’t as bad as I thought. I can’t thank my team enough for the love and support and I wouldn’t want to rep any other color besides the red.
Quran (65:3) - “And whoever puts his trust in Allah, He will be enough for him.”
