VW made the multicolored Beetle famous in a 1960s ad

Then In 1995, 1,000 Harlequin Polos were planned for production, but demand increased that to 3,800.

Amphicar 770, a car that swims, 1961

Immediately conceived for the transport of people and swimmers by a pleasant cabriolet bodywork complete with fins (which are not needed by the engineer), the 770 was designed by the German Hans Trippel.

The structure of the Amphicar 770 is based on a tubular frame, on which the bodywork with variable thickness rests, welded.

Capable of 120 km / h on the road and 6.5 knots (12 km / h) in the water, the 770 was built from 1960 to 1965 in 3,878 units, of which over three thousand sold overseas, at a cost equal to that of two VW Beetles
