POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Northwest Arkansas showed up for punk. 🤘🏽

F.Y.L. Fest was one of those nights where you could actually feel how much this scene has grown.

A packed room, bands coming in from out of state, people losing their minds from the first set to the last, and a crowd that made it very obvious NWA is hungry for more of this.

And Jowls absolutely understood the assignment.

“ONLY WAY OUT” felt like one of those songs that was built for a room like this.

Bodies moving. People in the air. Everyone screaming it back.

Just pure fucking energy from wall to wall. 🔥

That’s what I keep loving about this scene... It doesn’t feel polished or manufactured.

It feels alive. 🫶🏽

NWA has punk, hardcore, alternative, metal, weird little side scenes, people building things from nothing, and a crowd that will actually show up when somebody gives them something worth showing up for.

F.Y.L. Fest proved that.
Huge thank you to Jowls for having DefiantClicks out and for continuing to put real energy back into this community.

And another thank you to @themomentary for being willing to open up a space like this for something this loud, sweaty, chaotic, and fucking fun.

I have a stupid amount from this night still sitting in my camera roll, so F.Y.L. Fest is definitely not done on this page yet. 📸

More soon.

Still not over F.Y.L. Fest. 🤘🏽

Selling out The Momentary for a night like this was fucking impressive. A packed room, people coming out for punk and hardcore, and a crowd that stayed moving all night.

I actually went to F.Y.L. Fest planning to put the camera down for once and just enjoy the night.

Obviously that didn’t last very long. 😂📸

I ended up walking away with way too many moments worth sharing, and it only felt right to start this next round with Obliviate.

Every time I catch these guys, they know how to get the room moving. F.Y.L. Fest was no different. 🔥

I’ve still got a TON from this night that hasn’t seen the light of day. If you played F.Y.L. Fest and want to know if I caught something from your set, hit me up.

More from this night soon.

NWA showed the fuck up. 🌹

Northwest Arkansas showed the fuck up for punk. 🤘🏽

F.Y.L. Fest sold out @themomentary and still had a waitlist trying to get in.

That is fucking massive for this community. 🤯

A packed venue, bands coming in from out of state, and a crowd proving that punk, hardcore, and alternative music are VERY much alive in NWA. Nights like this show exactly how much pull this community has and what can happen when people actually show up for local music.

Huge thank you to Jowls for inviting DefiantClicks out and putting together one of the most memorable local music nights of the year. And a special thank you to Ben for bringing us into it and making us feel welcome.

Also a huge thank you to @themomentary for being willing to use such a beautiful space for something this loud, sweaty, chaotic and perfectly imperfect. 🔥

This one is absolutely going in the NWA history books.

I have SO many amazing shots from this show.. If you were a band that played F.Y.L. Fest, feel free to reach out. There is a very good chance I have something incredible. 📸

More from this night soon.

The scene is very alive here. 🤘🏽

@obliviatehc - Gas Station Gambler EP - Fourteen minutes of riffs, chaos, and getting your ass kicked. OBLIVIATE captures the kind of live energy that makes standing still feel like a terrible fucking idea. It’s aggressive without becoming a muddy mess, and every song brings something different to the fight. This isn’t background music. This is a warning. It’s time to move. - full review at www.dstryr.co
