Struggling to reach the corners with your feet? 🧤

Many goalkeepers focus too much on the foot that needs to make the save, instead of the movement towards the ball.

Just like a high stick save, where you step towards the ball first, a low save isn't any different!

Push towards the corner first, then control your saving foot.

Think about moving SIDEWAYS instead of DOWNWARDS.

Move sideways, and your foot will reach the corner.
Drop down, and your whole body follows, limiting your reach.

And remember: the start of your movement needs to be controlled and technically correct. The finish doesn't have to look pretty. It just needs to stop the ball!

Our pennant wall holds a special place in our hearts. 💙

Each flag represents a goalkeeper, their journey, and the time they’ve spent at The Goalie Trainer. It’s a daily reminder of the athletes who have walked through our doors, the work they’ve put in, and the memories made along the way. 🌟

More than just a wall, it’s a reflection of the community that makes TGT what it is. 🤗

The control you see in this video is not something you necessarily need to do in a game.

But being able to control the ball like this improves your coordination massively.

It teaches you to understand your body, your equipment and how everything moves together.
And when you start using your hands as well, it becomes a great way to train your hand-eye coordination.

Your eyes are one of the most important tools you have as a goalkeeper.

You need them in every save.
Every situation.
Every coaching moment.

But how often do you actually train your eyes?

Coordination training like this helps you become more aware, more controlled and more connected with the ball.

I wrote a blog about this topic, available for both free and paid members.
