This Midcentury Modern Kitchen remodel began in 2020 and didn't get the final touches put in until the end of 2024. It was my privilege to work with a client (George Hensler) who had vision, a talented architect (Obra Design Studio), and my fastidious assistant (Marcial Saavedra), when realizing all of the pieces in this space. The bones of this home are a steel frame midcentury structure, and rather than raze it to the ground, my client decided to restore and revitalize the structure as inspired by European midcentury designers Jean Prouvé and Charlotte Perriand. I built the kitchen with a combination of solid and veneered white oak, steel, and painted Masonite sliding door panels. All of the pulls and handles were made in house. Thank you George for the opportunity to play a part in this project 🙏🏼 All photography by Jason Adra.

Colleagues, Clients and Friends:
We have some difficult news to share with all of you.
It is with profound sadness that we report the sudden passing of our dear colleague Gabriela Buelna. Gaby died in a car accident early Thursday morning. She was only 24 years old.

Anyone who met Gaby knew: She was the heart and the light of our studio.
Our love goes out to her family, her parents Gabriel and Pilar, and her sisters Gema and Paulina.

We will update with information about arrangements and services.

It still feels unbelievable to all of us.
