People act like “DJs have to sell tickets” is a new problem. Ten years ago promoters asked, “How many people can you bring?” Today it’s “How many tickets can you move?” Same math, different wording.

A venue needs bodies on the floor to keep the lights on; a DJ wants to be booked for talent. But with way more DJs than slots, ticket sales have become the easiest way to stand out short of having a hit record.

The smart approach is teamwork. Venue, promoter, and DJ each push the show, instead of assuming someone else will fill the room. Because if the skilled DJ won’t hustle, the kid with sync and bangers at 10:01 PM and a hundred paying friends will get the slot nine times out of ten. 🤪

📽️ @mateoarango3 the great!

Really excited to play Opening Night for Moda Hüs on Friday, June 13th. Moda Hüs will be hosted every Friday at Easy Tiger, keeping it underground and digging deep in the crates.

Pull up to Williamsburg and let’s vibe all night, old faces and new. Can’t wait to throw down alongside these amazing artists:

@joshuaa_cordero
@nicoraldi_ b2b @nickcipolla_

Let’s make opening night one to remember. See you June 13th! Ticket link in my bio.
