Join me this Friday 5-7 @hechoamanoorg for Miss Universe. I think Miss Universe is the duality of being infinitely powerful. The images are meant to be overtly beautiful- yet creepy. They visually arrest you and then you realize they’re powerful and not to be fucked with. If I tagged you- please join! And share :)

Dear Good Folk Community,

We are in desperate need of a part time employee, our lovely employee is very ill right now. You may or may not know, this business is owned and operated by a single mother who has a full time art career and teaches. Please please- if you know of someone who is good at sales, is dependable, and is good at being self lead- let us know. We need your help to keep the doors open at this point. Thank you!!

A huge congrats to Terran Last Gun, named one of Art in America’s 20 artists to watch in its 2026 New Talent issue!

“Using ink and colored pencils, Last Gun applies crisp geometric forms to sheets he excises from the tomes he collects. Some of the fields are Ellsworth Kelly–flat; others reveal the thousands of strokes that overtake tidy ledger cells. The underlying grids hold such extreme historical tension that adding anything to them feels charged, opening up an unlikely, unemphatic space for the artist to play,” Jordan Eddy.

🏛️🌄 This Tempestt Hazel quote comes from "The Project of Ending," which combines two interviews conducted by Jordan Eddy @obsuratorial. Eddy spoke with @sixtyinchesfromcenter co-founder and executive director Tempestt Hazel and @artpapers executive director Sarah Higgins about their ways of conceptualizing institutional endings. These interviews are presented alongside an Artist Project by artist James Perkins from his “Post-Totem Structure” series. In his introduction to the text Eddy writes. “Their words appear side by side, not to suggest a binary between ‘legacy’ and ‘experimental,’ but as an interface you can read down or across. Although I spoke with them separately, their answers kept finding each other, in grief and in optimism."

Order the Fire Ecology issue now via the link in the @artpapers bio to read the full text.

The issue is offered free of charge, but the edition is limited.
