Nusa Penida through a 50mm prime only… for the non photographers here what that means (simply) is no zooming in… or out.

This is the only lens I brought overseas with me as it’s the most compact that I own. I decided to challenge myself by being limited in what I can capture to test my creativity (and because I didn’t want to spend $$ on a new lens)

Rather than shooting wide and cropping in I was forced to be more intentional about my shots and what was actually worth capturing. Broken Beach became the arch instead of the whole bay, the cliffs and waves got treated like portraits, and even my mate mid walk ended up a tighter shot than I’d have gotten any other way.

I’m honestly pretty happy with how it turned out.

If you swipe to the end you will see the shadow of a monster 👀
