Someone holding the position of Shadow Justice Secretary should represent fairness, balance and accountability. That’s what justice is meant to stand for. So when comments like this are made, it’s not just disappointing, it’s deeply concerning. As a Scottish Muslim, I find this appalling. But more than that, I see it as part of a wider issue we don’t talk about enough. Anti-Muslim hate. Like any form of hate, it has no place in our society. And staying silent only allows it to grow. We all have a responsibility to speak up. #justice #speakup #antimuslimhate #accountability
