GOODBYE TO KREUZBERG...⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I’ll miss our views of Alex, the insane 10 pm sunsets, biking to the Freibad at Prinzenstraße all summer, the huge balcony and the Oberbaumbrücke/Spree as our backyard. It’s not merely a place we lived, it captures everything about my early years in this city, from the rainy June night we arrived from JFK with all my worldly possessions in 6 suitcases and my life as an expat began, to the early days of German classes and exploring, to starting a job in a foreign country, to the First of May & countless other memories, to the pandemic when life stopped in its tracks and even these splendid walls began to feel claustrophobic.⁣ ⁣
⁣⁣
With so much going on at the end of 2020, I didn’t even get the chance to properly mourn the end of this action-packed era, which also marks the end of our carefree years as a childless couple. The passage of time can be so bittersweet, but the best is yet to come. So long and thanks for the memories, Kreuzberg 36 👋

3340m 🥶⁣ First trip of the season! ⁣ ⁣
Getting back into the groove especially rough after a holiday season spent devouring delicious food nonstop in Taiwan and drinking bubble tea daily, but few things make me happier than another great skiing winter! ❄️ #Sölden⁣

Cheers to friends who not only fly halfway around the world for your wedding, but spend a week in the Mediterranean with you afterward! 🏝 ❤️ .⁣

Happy wedding weekend to one of the best - my friend @obsessica and her husband Jan! Jessica is one of those friends who never stops learning about you or anything, is never full of herself, and always striving to be a better human. That’s why I love her so! I wish all of us could be there in Germany with you, but I’m sure we will text and share all the ups and downs, as we always have! #friends #besties #yay
