Huge thanks to Kontij Anthony (@kontji) and the entire team at Memphis's @liveat9.tv for having me on as a guest to discuss Montecito: A Novel and the true crime that inspired it! Fun fact, the last time I was in that studio was my senior year of high school, competing in the WREG's Knowledge Bowl game show. I was no less nervous, but the seven minutes on live tv went by in a smooth flash thanks to Kontji's infectious enthusiasm. You can watch the whole interview here:

Thanks to the fabulous @obsidianpublicrelations for making this possible.

“80 Exhibitions, 18 Years” | On view through January 3

For many artists, the Dixon’s Mallory and Wurtzburger series offered their first major museum exhibition and a springboard for what came next. From new partnerships to exhibitions and commissions beyond the Mid-South, the series has helped Memphis artists grow their careers.

“While this series has been a wonderful experience for local artists, it is deeply meaningful for the Dixon, too, giving us a strong presence in Memphis’ contemporary art community,” said Ellen Daugherty, Associate Curator. “Our goal is to instill a sense of pride in the incredibly talented individuals working in the Mid-South and to introduce our guests to their new favorite local artist.”

Today, we gathered for our StyleBlueprint 901 Day Luncheon at The Overland to celebrate the people, places, and stories that make Memphis such a special place to call home. 💙

Women from across a variety of industries came together to share positive Memphis memories, talk about what keeps us here, and celebrate the continued growth of StyleBlueprint Memphis.

From a beautiful meal and meaningful conversations to the stunning florals by Snapdragon Floral, it was an afternoon filled with connection, community, and so much Memphis pride. ✨

Here’s to celebrating where we’ve been, where we are, and where StyleBlueprint Memphis is going next. The 901 is better together. 💙

Cheers to December! This portrait of @chefphillipdewayne of @parkandcherry is highlighted in @memphismagazine’s Dining Guide section in the current issue.

It’s always fun to take a few minutes for a portrait during a food photo shoot. Thank you @obsidianpublicrelations for collaborating with me on vignettes from the new seasonal menu at the restaurant, which is located inside @dixonmemphis.

In this #GOODworks spotlight, Sylvia Martinez, President & CEO of @girlsincmemphis shares more about their Youth Farm in Frayser providing young women with hands-on experience in farming, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

The program, which spans 2.5 acres, allows girls to plant, harvest, and sell fresh produce at local markets in addition to their expansive meeting spaces, commercial kitchen, and flex space for robotics and STEM learning.

The Youth Farm is more than just farming—participants learn life skills, financial literacy, and leadership, with the opportunity to take on roles directing operations and business activities.

This initiative not only serves as a fresh food source for the community but also empowers youth by providing a space to grow in confidence and responsibility.

With plans for expansion, the farm aims to further its impact on North Memphis, continuing to combat food deserts while creating opportunities for girls to thrive.
