Managing Jordan Women’s Streetwear hybrid/new creation footwear was an experience. Pushing the needle with new ideas for a brand rooted in basketball, retro, and OG loyal consumers with depths of knowledge of the brand was an interesting balance 😅. The Jordan Pointe takes a shiftier approach, focusing on a new consumer set that is untapped for Jordan brand tapping the corners of low profile trainers & croquette ballet core, macro women’s forms that are current 365 staples in the marketplace. A hybrid multi-functional model with a nod to heritage, the Jordan 12, who’s design inspiration came from 19th century women’s dress shoes. This is uncommon territory for Jordan, but I’m excited to see how the market continues to respond! Huge shout out to my teammates that I collaborated with bringing the first seasons of this model to life!
