Seeing Social D sing songs from their new album meant EVERYTHING to me. How often can you say that about a band? Mike Ness is the coolest cat alive. Period.💀🖤

The reviews on the record have been great thus far and the overall consensus is the sound is of the this record is reminiscent of great punk records of the past, with a sound that is both present and will carry into the future.

We put so much into this record it’s great to hear reviews of it being understood in the way it was meant to be understood. Of course some people have said they don’t know how to categorize or label it, and to us that’s almost strange to hear because Gram and I (Dave) have been writing songs like these for as long as we’ve been creating together. Some of these tracks are around a year to 15 years old so seeing them receive some justice is bueno.

Check the link in our bio to listen to “alas! the bomb voyage…”

It’s a journey of a record listen through it.

Thanks to @beardedgmusic for the review.

alas! the bomb voyage… is out everywhere you listen to music.

This one means more to us than words can fully express.

Our vocalist and guitarist of The Pawns, Jonster had the opportunity to begin working with T.S.O.L. starting off as their drum tech and driver. He later received the incredible honor and privilege of working with the legendary Mike Roche, setting up his equipment and supporting him behind the scenes.

When The Pawns were invited to perform at this benefit, there was absolutely no way we could say no.

We are deeply honored and beyond excited to take the stage alongside this incredible lineup in support of Mike. This is more than just another show…it’s an opportunity for the punk rock community to come together, show its strength, and give back to someone who has contributed so much to the music and culture we all love.

Join us Sunday, November 8, at Bone Daddyz Music Lounge. Let’s pack the place, make some noise, and show Mike Roche that the punk rock community stands firmly behind him.

With love, respect, and gratitude,

THE PAWNS

Animals is out now into the world. A song written many years ago that has been a deep cut in the Mad Tab catalogue and now out for your listening pleasure.

If you’re one of those people who dive into band’s lyrics, this one can send you on some deep dives and interesting rabbit holes. Seems like the message is more so about today’s times than when we wrote it almost 15 years ago.

Animals sound was inspired by bands like @badbrainsofficial Bad Brains, @swinginuttersofficial Swingin Utters, @dillingerfour Dillinger Four and 90’s @epitaphrecords type bands.

Released by @woodywoodstraw @innanuttshellreekordingz and distributed by @theorchard

Next release is “Don’t Blink” out 8/21.

Animals is live and out into the world. We wrote this song about 15 years ago at a time when the world started looking a bit more in depth into various narratives being delivered to the public. And today it seems like the perfect time to release this deep cut from the Mad Tab catalogue.

It’s the 3rd release through @woodywoodstraw new record label @innanuttshellreekordingz off our upcoming 17 track record “alas! the bomb voyage…” out September 18th.

Recorded at @tubetownstudios by @haydenvision in San Clemente, CA
Mixed by Jim Monroe at The Racket Room in Santa Ana, CA
Distributed by @theorchard

Listen, like, share, dive into the lyrics. And definitely come see it live along with Awake and Stock Itch. The full record pre save link is in our bio.
