One of my Life Long Bucket List entries has been checked off! Let’s go race BAJA!! & I did. Overwhelming experience, but in the thick of it and the race, I felt right at home. No questioning myself, no double thinking if it right or wrong, never lost or confused, just let’s top off the truck and let her run! It great to work with gentlemen who are all cool calm and collected. No egos, no assholes to work with, no one was rude or conniving. We all quietly worked on the truck and made it happen. The team had four experience drivers, both running as navigators as well, all who ran great. But in the end it was the course who got us. Maybe a car-size rock or the night run with mud, rain, sand and minimal lights that decided our day was up. Who knows, it was all to gain knowledge for the next races to come. And I’m hooked to run another Baja Race or any race that presents itself as a challenge. Thanks to Tom for the ultimate opportunity to join the team and add help where it’s needed. My Good Friend Andy Villalobos for including me without my consent. “Chase Mom” Patty for the food and drinks to keep us fully charged. Tetuski Racing for chauffeuring the team around to the next mile mark. And everyone who extended the hand! We will be back and I can’t wait to see what the next adventure will be.
