There’s something special about returning to a room full of familiar faces and discovering how much that room has grown. A whirlwind of rehearsals, old friends, new collaborators, and a whole lot of music.

Thank you for Steven Eng, @michaelcassara, and Andrea Zee for inviting me to play!

Grateful to @baayork and @nationalasianartistsproject for continuing to build a community that feels like home, even when I’ve been away for a while.

Here’s to the people who make the work worth doing. 💜

🎶Where is the good in goodbye?🎶

At first the imposter syndrome hit me being in a room with all these top-tier AAHNPI pros (and Jacey making me sing in the rafters!! 😅) but I was only met with kindness, warmth, and so much love the entire process. It was a dream come true getting to incorporate the two things I love: Golden Age musicals and being Asian! Getting to work with this incredible AAHNPI cast from our leads to the dance ensemble was healing and affirming in many ways. 💕

Thank you @nationalasianartistsproject, @baayork, @alexanderobertom, @michaelcassara, & Steven Eng for this opportunity! I am so honored and grateful to have been a part of this rare reimagining of a classic show with our AANHPI community of artists!! Already missing this one. 🥹

City Center transfer? Broadway? Tour? 🙏🏽👀

Day 9/80 of not giving a fuck what people think.

Stop focusing on how it looks. Start asking yourself how it feels.

See you tomorrow for Day 10, where we do something uncomfortable, yet empowering. Together.

What a weekend! An all Asian cast of The Music Man produced by @nationalasianartistsproject. A whirlwind 29-hours of rehearsal, reunion, and a rip-roarin’ good time. So nice to see old faces, new faces, and to feel what it means to be a community. The enthusiasm, the commitment, the passion, the friendships. My cup was full. Thank you for this once-in-lifetime opportunity. It was truly an honor to share this last week with you all. That’s a wrap on @nationalasianartistsproject ‘s wonderful production of “The Music Man.” Thank you to Baayork Lee, Steven Eng & Nina Zoie Lam + Michael Cassara & Andrea Zee for this amazing opportunity to be in this inspiring space surrounded by accomplished Asian performers and creatives.

I wish I had a better picture of Bea getting to hold the Viveca’s hand (😲🤩🤯). And we also wish you all could have heard her SING “My White Night” with grace and dignity, so that you also would fall in love with her. We were of course delighted by what a totally and completely charming triple threat Harold Hill Daniel May played. He’s easily our favorite Harold Hill we’ve seen, but we might be just a little biased 😍

Thanks to everyone for being wonderful to the kids and again reminding us all Asian American’s belong on the American Musical Theater stage 🥹🫶 It was truly a special treat to share this show with Rommel & Kimbirdlee 💕

Lucas Wu, you are amazing and we hope to see you and your star rising 🌟 So wonderful to meet and spend time with your mom & family.

SILENCE by @theplotinyouofficial, part 2.

Being in a showcase just 7 months after my first pole dance class was definitely a challenge, but I’m sososo grateful. To @bodyandpole for the opportunity, my pole papa @ochoamel for believing in me since day one, and @dromnyc for hosting. And my number one supporter @riskyrichy for always believing in me ❤️

You are more than your demons. You are more than your past. Rise up stronger 💪

Thank you to @vivecachow for these amazing rehearsal photos! We open THE MUSIC MAN tonight after 25 hours of immersing ourselves in the world of River City, Iowa, 1912... And Harold Hill has come to town!

Viveca also stars as Marian. She is incredible and, alongside @danielmayofficial as Harold Hill, this is a 100% AANHPI cast of more than 60 principals, dancers, chorus and children that will blow you away.
