Lil’ message from the set, “We accept your challenge” 🧡🏁

Closing in on £7000 raised for @theazayliafoundation 🦁

Link still in bio to donate, grateful 🙏🏼

Childhood cancer receives less than 3% of all cancer research funding. In just five years, The Azaylia Foundation has donated over £1.1 million towards research, treatment and family support, and awarded five PhD scholarships to fund the next generation of childhood cancer researchers.

The GoFundMe for Matt & Joe is still open. Every donation, whatever the amount, goes directly to The Azaylia Foundation.

We are incredibly proud to support them as our official charity partner for 2026.

And then it was on to the main event of our weekend, the 5yr anniversary of @theazayliafoundation celebration🦁🧡 what the small team of three pulled off was amazing, ofcourse helped by all the wonderful people who gave up their time and services freely to support . @solandthegang …what a blast! Your vibe and energy is second to none..and those voices! Wow!! 🤩 the marathon runners who completed their challenge and raised a hefty sum for the foundation, hats off to you guys, amazing! 🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️Azaylia, you are still here making your mark, your legacy lives on and the work mummy and daddy are doing to help those that have come after you by way of phd’s for research into this awful disease is forging change in the future. Some of the children joined us all yesterday and I know will have had the best time celebrating your legacy as we celebrated them. Our girls had the best time that’s for sure..Summer mastering her circus skills amongst other things and Willow burning up the dance floor 🔥 It was so lovely to see some of the families I have come to know over the years affected by childhood cancer, to chat to friends not seen for so long, and to feel a part of something so special. Let’s go champs 🧡🦁🧡

Two local dads, 412 miles, 9 days, £30,000 to raise💪

Joe & Matt are taking on an incredible challenge for The Azalea Foundation, running between four children’s hospitals across the UK while delivering Jessie’s Joy Jars to children receiving cancer treatment.

Today they join Kai Jasper on Unity Radio Primetime to talk about the challenge, why they’re doing it and what they hope to achieve.

“even if it’ll help one family out or help raise awareness that drives someone to help that family out, then we’ll keep doing that.”

Listen back to the full interview TODAY between 4–7pm on Primetime, Unity radio, The Real sound Of The City.

The challenge begins Saturday 19 September at Manchester Children’s Hospital, with the pair aiming to complete 412 miles before finishing at West Midlands Safari Park on 27 September.

413 miles doesn’t start on Day 1.
It starts months before @theazayliafoundation 🧡

Great catching up with @jhughescoaching and talking through the 16 weeks of preparation that went into getting his body ready for an incredible 413-mile charity challenge.

When you’re asking your body to cover that kind of distance, preparation is everything.

Building strength, managing training load, staying on top of recovery and dealing with the inevitable aches and niggles along the way.

At Forge, we’ve been proud to play a small part in supporting Joe throughout his preparation with sports massage, recovery and injury management.

All for an incredible cause, raising awareness and support for childhood cancer. 🧡

16 weeks of work.
413 miles ahead.
One massive challenge.

Go smash it Joe 👏

Reflecting on the year to date of running…

Two ultras, a marathon and over 1000 miles run.

As an ordinary guy I get inspired by extraordinary people. Thank you to my best pal and running buddy @bobjwilkinson and to @lucyjfew for being the most tolerant person on earth with my little adventures.

These guys have all given me enormous amounts of inspiration to keep pushing:

Theo supporting @theazayliafoundation fundraisers @jhughescoaching & @oco81 🧡

As Owner & Head Clinician of @forgeinjuryperformance, it’s been incredibly rewarding to play a small part in supporting this challenge.

This one means a lot to me personally. Having lost my dad to cancer at a young age, I know first-hand the impact cancer can have on families.

Joe & Matty are taking on an incredible 412 miles in just 9 days to raise awareness and support the fight against childhood cancer. 🧡

Good luck, lads go smash it. See you at the finish line! 👏🧡
