POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Thank you @straits_times for featuring my story. It feels nostalgic to see my full name on the article!

Performance anxiety doesn’t always look like panic, sometimes it hides behind competence. For years, I thought stress was proof that I was doing well.

I built a 20-year career in hedge funds, performing under pressure and living with constant anxiety that I couldn’t name. I didn’t shake or freeze on the outside. I over-prepared, replayed every conversation and worried about being good enough.

Breathwork changed that. It slowed my thoughts and calmed my nervous system. You cannot think your way out of anxiety which I tried to do for years, you can only feel & breathe your way out of it.

I don’t think we share enough as a society the amount of stress and anxiety we go through daily and we tend to glorify it. I hope this article reminds you that performance doesn’t have to cost your wellbeing.

📰 Read the full article with link in bio. It will be in print on 22nd October 2025.
