50 years called for something special… live music in NYC🗽🎶❤️

The much-hyped nor’easter ended up being a whole lot of nothing in the city, but unfortunately both of our JRAD shows were cancelled. In true JRAD fashion, though, they made lemons out of lemonade and treated us to a show on the plaza — such a cool and unexpected moment.

And thank you, Shelby and Jamie Rubin, for the Karina Rykman suggestion because WOW. She was fabulous and it turned into the most incredible audible. Webster Hall reminded us so much of Thalia Hall in Chicago — intimate, historic and an amazing place to see live music. We felt pretty lucky to be celebrating in a city where the entertainment options are truly endless.

Thank you to everyone who made the trip to NYC despite all the chaos and uncertainty surrounding the impending storm. Having so many of our favorite people there to celebrate this milestone with us meant more than you know.

An extra special thank you to those that stuck it out with us through the final day. Having you there as plans kept changing and making the most of it together was so much fun!

To my husband — thank you for your constant support, for rolling with every change of plans, and for being the master researcher who somehow always figures out what we should do next. ❤️

And to Brad Gagerman — sharing this weekend and this milestone with you made it even more special. A best friend for 50 years is something pretty extraordinary and definitely something to be proud of. From then to now, what a ride.

The weekend may not have gone exactly according to plan, but somehow there were so many silver linings.

Here’s to 50, lifelong friendships, live music, great people, unexpected audibles and a whole lot more adventures ahead. ❤️🎶🗽

Found the cutest spot for a girls’ night in SoHo 🍸✨

We went to Odd Sister and ordered the Margherita Pizza, Steak Frites + a bowl of fries, obviously with an Aperol Spritz. Everything was SO good and the low-lit atmosphere was perfect for drinks, dinner & catching up with your girly 💕✨🌸
