There are rooms where everyone expects you to have the answer.

But very few rooms where you can bring the questions you cannot ask anywhere else.

I know that seat.

For 26 years, I’ve served in the second chair, helping lead, build, solve, carry, execute, and see what others sometimes cannot see.

And I’ve learned something:

The people helping carry the vision need a room too.

That is why I created 1@2 / The Table

A private community for executive pastors, chiefs of staff, executive leaders, and second-chair leaders who understand the weight of helping lead from beside the visionary.

This is not another conference.

It is not another room where you have to perform.

It is a table for honest conversations, real situations, trusted relationships, and leaders who understand the seat you sit in.

The founding cohort begins November 1.

Applications are now open.

Comment TABLE below and we’ll send you the details.

The room second-chair leaders never had.

Welcome to The Table.

New Psalmist and Baltimore County Workforce Development 's Job Fair along with over 40 employers met close to 400 job seekers on Thursday making an impact in the community!

As persons learned about job opportunities we also wanted to let them know we were praying for them. We offered everyone the opportunity to write prayers on our wall of hope and extended an invitation to worship and revival! The bonus for us ...people gave their lives to Christ!

LOOK WHAT GOD DID! 🙌🏾

Sometimes faith requires you to move before you know how God is going to make it happen!

Two weeks ago, it seemed like everything that could go wrong at Freedom Church did. We faced challenge after challenge, but God still met us in worship.

Then came the instruction: **PIVOT.**

We had been renting equipment every week, but God was calling us to take another step of faith.

We didn’t have all the resources. We didn’t have everything figured out. But we had a word, and we believed God!

So we stepped out, made the calls, sent the messages, and trusted God for the rest.

AND GOD PROVIDED!

In just a matter of days, what seemed out of reach became our testimony.

Here’s what I’m learning on this journey: Faith isn’t having all the answers. Faith is trusting God enough to move when He speaks.

And I believe this testimony is bigger than Freedom Church.

Whatever you’ve been praying for, believing for, or waiting on, don’t allow what you see to limit what you believe God can do!

KEEP BELIEVING. KEEP MOVING. KEEP TRUSTING GOD.

To every person who has prayed for us, encouraged us, and invested in this vision, THANK YOU! You are part of what God is building.

And if you’d like to partner with us as we continue building Freedom Church ATL and reaching people with the Gospel, we’d be honored to have your support.

Which line describes where your church is right now? 👀

Different challenges. Same underlying problem.

Your church needs more than a calendar full of activities. It needs a year intentionally built around what God is calling your church to become.

That’s why I created Developing Your Church Year.

Designed for pastors, ministry staff, and church leaders responsible for turning vision into action.

Four live online sessions beginning November 2, followed by a two-day working retreat in Baltimore, December 7–8.

We’re not just talking about planning. We’re doing the work together.

Your calendar should serve your vision, not determine it.

Comment YEAR and I’ll send you the details, or visit the link in my bio to learn more.

Your church can have 52 Sundays planned and still have no clear direction.

Every ministry has its dates. Every committee has its events. Every tradition has its place on the calendar.

But is your church calendar actually moving your congregation toward what God is calling it to become?

After fifty years of pastoral leadership, I’ve learned that a full calendar is not necessarily a fruitful one.

Developing your church year takes more than scheduling activities. It takes prayerful discernment and a willingness to ask whether what we’ve always done is still helping us become who God is calling us to be.

That’s why I’m inviting pastors, executive pastors, associate pastors, and ministry leaders to join me for Developing Your Church Year, our next Pastors Cohort.

Through four live online sessions, we’ll work through your 2027 church year together: your vision, your priorities, your dates, and who owns what. Then we’ll bring it all together at a two-day working retreat in Baltimore, December 7–8, where you leave with a plan, not just ideas.

We begin November 2.

Swipe through these five reasons your church calendar may not be working. Then let’s do something about it.

Comment YEAR and I’ll send you the details, or tap the link in my bio to register now.
