Odile Soudant is a Paris-born visual artist and renowned lighting designer, celebrated for her immersive installations and innovative use of light as material and medium. She experiments with our perception and relationship to light, questions space and heighten sensory experience. With a background as Head of Lighting at Jean Nouvel’s atelier, her portfolio includes high-profile projects for museums, like Monumenta with Anish Kapoor at the Grand Palais in Paris, public spaces, and luxury venues around the world. “The idea of creating a dialogue between light and jewellery has always felt instinctive to me- while light is essential to reveal beauty in a jewel, the deeper mystery lies in how it interacts with the senses and spirit. Encountering the art of Odile Soudant was transformative: her installations do not simply illuminate objects, they magnify emotion and invite one to question the very presence of light both around and within us, pushes beyond the visible, proposing light as a true artistic material and a spiritual connector. It was this revelation that bonded us for collaboration: in my gallery, I seek jewels that radiate—works wherein the osmosis between light and jewellery creates a living, shared experience between artist and collector.
