I wish I had slept among you.. Yesterday, her mother deposited her bed and fell asleep after a kiss on her forehead from her father, and she started to say goodbye!! Only ten hours ahead! Her number is 45,469!! Among the orphaned children because of the war..but it is not a number. It is a new story. She lost both her parents tonight.. The world ended for her. Her father, Akram Yassin, and her mother, Nahil Bakr, were martyred as a result of an Israeli raid on their apartment while they were asleep at dawn today!
My friend, we live every single day—every hour, every minute—with a pain that only God knows. Please help me and my family to survive. We are trying to get by with the bare minimum; we are simply striving to survive, not to live in luxury. The link is at the top of the page.

Happy Black Joy Sunday! I woke up like this, in my Greatness and loving Black people more today, than I did yesterday.

As some of you all are aware that white supremacy is in full effect and on attack. I will never bow down , it is my life purpose and duty to fight back!

These last few days have been an emotional roller coaster for me. If it wasn’t for my Black community I would have crashed out. It’s going to always be us , holding, supporting and protecting us. I have never in my organizing life felt so let down by Allies 😞 , it almost took me out, but it failed . It failed because I was intentional on centering myself around my Black community and not allowing no one to steal my JOY.

If you checked in on me, text me , held me , hung out with me or partied with me this week, just know that because of you , I AM STILL HERE! I appreciate my family , Lawyer, @harrietsdreams team, Board and Black community so much 🖤. This is way I will forever stand 10 toes down for you all and never allow you all to be erase , WE KEEP US SAFE!

To the couple of white and brown allies that checked on me and my team, I see and appreciate you ❤️ . Patrick and Olivia you all are real ones , thank y’all so much for talking me off the ledge, when I felt in my heart that some people were pushing me to the edge 😩. I am built different, we are not the same, some of y’all Allies think was happening in DC and the World is a game 😔. No really, people should try Jesus and not @neeneetay 👁️. Check in with God and my Ancestors on why they made me this way. My foot steps are order, lead and guided with NO FEAR! They that are in and with me are Greater than those of this World. I am a commitment to the Spirit of Harriet Tubman. Woe to anybody that cause hurt, harm or crosses me.

This World didn’t make me , it can’t break me. I am choosing to continue to prioritize Black Joy, self care and loving on me. I hope you all did something today that brought you some joy and please be kind to one another . Ana use to always remind me , we need each other to survive . I miss my mini me so much 🕊️🤍.

Three years of War, Destruction, Genocide, and Every Day Survival

Part One

“The devastation has drawn widespread international condemnation and prompted legal proceedings against Israel over its conduct in the enclave and its occupation of the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

Survival is a full-time job.

For most Palestinians, the day starts with more immediate questions: where to find water, what to eat and how to get through the next few hours.

“At dawn, Nihad al-Skafi joins the queues for water. From the moment he wakes up until he sleeps, all that occupies them are basic survival tasks: collecting water, finding food, eating, staying alive, then sleeping.

The water I’m collecting now is only for washing and bathing, and it is extremely salty. For drinking water, we have to wait for the water truck to arrive every other day. We wake up at dawn to take our place in the long queue.”

Before the genocide, Skafi, originally a resident of Shujaiya, worked as a construction worker. Today, he waits his turn to receive food parcels from charities and relief organizations to feed his family.

By midday, the question becomes what there is to eat. “If we get food, then we have something to eat for lunch. But if we can’t get a hot meal, we have to figure out what we’re going to eat and how we’re going to get it. Then comes the struggle to find firewood and get a fire going just to cook. Every step is a struggle,” he continued.

“Our gas cylinder ran out, and now we have to wait around 40 days until it’s our turn to refill it. Until then, we have no choice but to go back to using firewood.”

Cooking gas remains severely scarce in Gaza despite an agreement allowing fuel and cooking gas to enter under the October 2025 ceasefire. As a result, supplies have remained far below demand, leaving families waiting weeks or months for their turn.” Maha Hussaini for @middleeasteye

My little daughter, Rital, is asking for your help in getting some food and drink. She has already been deprived of her childhood and hasn't been able to attend kindergarten. She's simply asking for some assistance for herself and her younger siblings. We urge you to help her and fulfill some of her basic needs.

Had a wonderful lunch and speech with @odinucci from CODEPINK! Massive thanks to the organizations and people that made this happen. It was incredibly inspiring and insightful to meet an experienced organizer and I’m really looking forward to continue campaigning with the ideas and advice I got.
