A Reyt Queer Do is our queer cabaret where there’s no limit on styles of performance or types of act!

💖💚Back in March we brought this eclectic night of queer performance to Doncaster with for an Over the Rainbow themed show.

🌈 A wonderful crowd of people joined us to see our fabulous artists take to the stage including @itsgigizahir @robin_reeds_dragking @oestra.doll @tysie_j_blaque @marvelousmrsyardy
and the host who got everyone singing along - @cripladywood

🌈 Read a roundup of A Reyt Queer Do and see the highlights on our website now!

And if you fancy a dose of camp queer nonsense join us for The Kingdom Come in Sheffield on 10 July! ✨

Video description- a series of short clips showing different acts onstage in a studio theatre with black walls and floor lit by colourful lighting. Drag king Crip Ladywood is using a wheelchair and singing onstage, Gigi Zahir is standing onstage singing and performs a duet with Crip, comedian Stevie Yardy moves about cracking jokes, burlesque artist Oestra Doll flounces her gown, drag and dance artist Tysie Blaque lipsyncs and dances while drag king Robin Reeds plays the clarinet

What does a duet by @cripladywood and @itsgigizahir and an impromptu game of Blankety Blank with @tysie_j_blaque as a glamorous assistant have in common?! Well they both happened at A Reyt Queer Do in Doncaster back in March!

✨Head to our website now for a roundup of this relaxed evening of Northern queer performance somewhere over the rainbow! Get all the goss from this queer cabaret at @castindoncaster featuring drag king Robin Reeds, comedian Stevie Yardy and burlesque artist Oestra Doll too! Did you get snapped?

🌈 Giving folks access to brilliant queer culture, on their doorstep, is really important to us. We loved being back in Doncaster, and having over 80 people show up for this event in Doncaster, 6 years after our first event there was wonderful.

💜If you’d like to help us to keep bringing accessible queer culture to communities across South Yorkshire, and provide paid opportunities to local queer artists - please consider becoming a member. Our members are the reason we can keep showing up and dream big for our future.

We are aiming to have 100 members by Pride Month, and we're just 24 members away from our target! Head to our website to find out all about the exclusive member rewards on offer and sign up! 💜

✨ More magic landing down the yellow brick road… ✨

We’re excited to announce TWO more incredible artists joining us for A Reyt Queer Do – Over the Rainbow Edition on Saturday 21 March at Cast 💛🌈

🔥 Oestra Doll

Welsh-born, Doncaster-based, and stepping fully into her truth. Oestra Doll is a proud Trans woman blending storytelling, seduction and self-discovery through burlesque. Since beginning her journey in 2024, she’s already delivered her debut professional performance in Leeds - and every act is a celebration of resilience, power and living boldly.

🎤 Molly Eroje (she/her)
Poet. Musician. Tailor. Performer.

Molly’s words have travelled from BBC Radio Sheffield and BBC Radio York to Manchester’s One Mic Stand Poetry Slam representing South Yorkshire. A multidisciplinary creative sewing for DFS, tutoring embroidery at The University of Leeds, and designing for Burberry - and now bringing that same craft, care and fire to our cabaret stage.

Expect lyricism, heart and Northern brilliance stitched together with style.

This is what Over the Rainbow means to us.
Expression. Transformation. Joy.

I am so incredibly lucky that I found @theboobytrapburlesque not only for Tawny Kay and the incredible human they are, but also the school and wonderful community/ students I’ve met along the way.

Until joining, I’d been stuck in a rut with burlesque, having attended a burlesque exercise based class for many years and desperately wanting to try make it professionally, but having absolutely no clue where to start.😫

I saw the advert for Tawny’s class at the end of 2023, it was an absolute no brainer. I signed up straight away, committed to 4 weeks instantly. And I’ve never looked back since.

Not only have I learnt how to become a professional, to advance my career, elevate my acts, apply for castings successfully.

I’ve also learnt to appreciate the rich and important history and where burlesque roots lay and I’ve found a community of incredible people.

Sounds good right?

Fancy joining in?👀

Here’s 2 ways you can:

👉🏽Attend the FREE Boobytrap burlesque taster session on 7th November in Doncaster, link in bio- registration is essential for H&S regs!

👉🏽Join the Boobytrap Backstage Facebook group where we’re building our community across the UK🖤

Comment the word TASTER for the link to sign up to the free class❤️‍🔥

Comment the word Community for more info on the group and I’ll DM you🖤💚

⭐️Last night was an absolute dream!⭐️

The Student Showcase was everything I’d hoped it would be. My fellow Boobytrappers and the guest performers did so phenomenally well and the community spirit was strong back stage as well as on stage.

Thank you to @s.w.e.e.t__peach for stage managing and being there to support each and every one of us throughout the show, you’re the absolute best!

Special thanks to @theboobytrapburlesque for producing such a magical show. Last night was my debut as a solo performer which can be super nerve wracking (and trust, it was!) however the confidence in myself not just as Lucky Chip but off stage has grown exponentially in the past year with thanks to Tawny and her classes. I feel incredibly lucky (😉) to be a part of this fabulous community and to have such an amazing group of fellow students to grow with, they really do feel like extended family.

Last but not least, my hubby (Mr LC) and our friends & fam that made the journey to come see the show. Means the world to me. 😘

So… what next?!
…Are you feeling Lucky?
