EDIT: THE SHOW AND ALBUM RELEASE IS MAY 17, NOT 19. I GET 7 AND 9 MIXED UP A LOT

best thing about my new album GET PERMANENT releasing on may 19 is that I get to play the songs live with my favorite drummer and bassist combo of all time and space, matt walker and alan berliant. it is the achievement of my life that they pick up the phone

Matt Walker has always wanted to play the drums. It was his first instrument and he took to it immediately. He’s now made a wonderful career of it - playing in an amazing list of incredibly bands. Morrissey, Smashing Pumpkins, Filter, Garbage and more. His band, Cupcakes, put out a major label record, but broke up too soon. Nowadays, Matt puts out his own work as of1000faces. We talked about Matt’s career, as well as his thoughts on Chicago. #nowristbands #NWWDFF #linkinbio

I’m thrilled to announce that we’ve updated Matt Walker’s Time Machines Vol 1 with 3 new Roland SPD-SX Pro drum kits. In this video, I demonstrate the 3 different drum mixes that are included with the pack: Dry, Room “Far” and Room “Close”.

You can easily import these multi-velocity samples into any DAW or hardware device. Questions? Just let us know in the comments and we’ll get right back to you! 🙌

Earlier this year, I had the incredible opportunity to connect with drummer extraordinaire Matt Walker (Morrissey, The Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage), thanks to our mutual friend, legendary producer Butch Vig (Nirvana, Foo Fighters). As a longtime fan of Matt’s playing, I was thrilled when he shared his vision for a drum library concept: playing his acoustic drums through a range of vintage and unique delay units to create loops and samples with unparalleled sonic and rhythmic depth.

The result? Time Machines Volume 1 – one of the most distinct and inspiring drum libraries we’ve ever created. Each groove and sample offers multiple mixes featuring different effects, delivering nearly endless possibilities for cinematic scoring, driving indie rock, and beyond.

With everything meticulously organized by session and drum kit, you can easily drag and drop into any DAW or sampler, including Ableton, Pro Tools, MPCs, and even electronic drums from Roland and Alesis.

Explore Time Machines Volume 1 today and redefine your sound. LINK IN BIO! 🔗

Let’s record a drum library! What a great way to spend a Friday for audio nerds in the big burly drum room.

“Tiny Injuries” was co-produced my Matt Walker @mwbattery who also played drums/percussion on all three of my solo albums including “Tiny Injuries, “The Restless Dreams of Youth” and “Start at the End.” There is no way I could have made these albums without him. 💗I mean that from the bottom of my heart. 😭😭💙Matt is not only an incredible drummer and producer, but is a composer and releases music under his solo project @of1000faces please check it out. I am forever grateful to him for being my musical partner and being my friend. He has new things brewing @of1000faces so have a look/listen! And thank you Matt for sending a photo of “Tiny Injuries” leaning up against your beautiful kit.
