Hopefully these won’t be blocking the aisles for too long… we have many paint pour art works and they are all just $5 big and small. They are very colorful and would be nice art for your wall or a great base for art projects! Stop by tomorrow and pick yours out!

This past weekend a group of wildly passionate and talented artists produced a beautiful night of music with the intention of raising funds for @thechurcharthouse. There were so many hearts and hands that went into the effort and by the end of the night I was buzzing with positive vibes and so much gratitude!

I can hardly begin to share how much this meant to me as I reflect on the early days of this journey -washing mold off the basement walls with my Mom, (thank you Mom!) and organizing items that would later be offered up at our first garage sale. Those first days were full of wonder and excitement, but also felt kinda heavy and at times overwhelming. Saturday night felt light, heartwarming, fun and fulfilling.

I always knew I wanted this place to be supported by a community of believers again, and through my own seeking have consistently arrived at the thread that binds me to others in the most pure, uplifting and inclusive of ways. It’s a connection found through creative expression and the practice of bearing witness to one another as we process, evolve and human together in this weird matrix of holy wars and control experiments.

Saturday night we listened to one another play our instruments and sing songs. Some of us made delicious baked goods (thank you Lillian!) and others created some of the first wearable Church Merch! Ru’s grandma who lives up the street made tamales 😋. I barely had to stress, and instead got to bask in gratitude for this community who is a true church, bringing spirit and warmth back into this old building and more importantly, bringing meaning and connection into our shared experience of humaning together.

Big heartfelt thank you to @superplanetplum, each of the musicians and all the volunteers who made the night possible. Thank you for trusting me and my family to provide space for the work you’re doing. I’m in awe of all of you, and honored to be a part of your journey. 🙏❤️
