🎶🎻💗🎙️

i gave my last choir concert today, in Ireland 🇮🇪

for as long as i can remember, music has always been part of my life.

on the first day of kindergarten, the class “special” was music, and i was instantly hooked. music has been my first love ever since.

in second grade, i begged and begged to play the violin. what started as an 8-year-old me wanting to play a graceful instrument turned into a lifelong passion that i still love 14 years later. thank you Ms. Liz for being such an important part of my musical story. i’ll never be able to fully express the impact you’ve had on me, so I hope a simple thank you will suffice💗

to the Philadelphia Girls Choir, thank you for challenging me, shaping me, and helping me grow into the musician i am today. being a PGC alumna remains one of my proudest accomplishments.

when i arrived at High Point University, i wasn’t sure what music would look like in college. on a whim, i auditioned for Chamber Singers my freshman year, never thinking i was good enough. four years later, that one decision led to some of my closest friendships, incredible opportunities, and memories i will cherish forever.

thank you, Dr. Foster, for taking a chance on 18-year-old me and giving me a forever home.

and to my Offbeats family, three years would never be enough. i love making music, but even more than that, i love making music with you. i’ll be your biggest fan in the audience next year.

18-year-old me and 22-year-old me are in the same place: knowing music will always be part of my life, even if i don’t yet know what that will look like in this next chapter.

here’s to the friendships, opportunities, and memories music has given me, and to the lifetime ahead.

my life will be forever indebted to the greatest passion life has ever given me🎶

Offbeats Spring Concert 2026
-
I know this is a super late post but it’s a post that’s still needed to be made. From the lighting to the choreo to every behind the scenes moment, this family has made my college experience worth every second. Every tear, all the sweat, and after a lot of arguments, I’ve grown closer to this family. Summer will be long and boring without these guys spicing up the days. To many more concerts ❤️🖤 Let’s Rage!

Thank you to @toccatatones, @offbeatsacappella, and @petalpoints for leading us in “hidden worship” at our Hidden Word service, helping us see how even familiar songs can reveal something deeper about God’s love and presence. And special thanks to @lambdachihpu for joining us as well!

See you next Wednesday at 5:30pm at Hayworth Chapel as we continue “Language of the Heart,” our new series in the Psalms!

This week we started our new series “Language of the Heart: How the Psalms of Jesus help us speak honestly with God” and opened with Psalm 22, a psalm under protest. Tonight, Rev. Davis used this Psalm to explain that nothing is off limits with God. He doesn’t need our picture-perfect piety, but our broken roaring.

And a big thank you to @toccatatones, @offbeatsacappella, and @petalpoints for uncovering the deeper meaning in popular hits with their beautiful gifts!
