Roy Fleeman thinks sunscreen should feel like a vacation. That’s not a metaphor. At the Challenger Brand Summit, @vacationinc’s VP of Design (@officehours.work) talked about where the brand’s visual world actually comes from: his kids, 90s summers, and why the best creative reference is usually the most personal one. The Challenger Brand Summit was an afternoon of honest conversations with the creative directors, brand builders, and founders who’ve actually done it hosted at Air’s NYC HQ in Chinatown.

IIDA Georgia recently recognized Gentle Works with *two* Best of the Best design awards: Best on a Budget for Lake Claire Pool and Best of Restaurants for Ryokou. Thank you IIDA Georgia (@iidageorgia) for honoring us at such a glamorous event, and congratulations to all of our fellow 2026 awardees. Lake Claire Pool: Our goal in reimagining the Lake Claire Pool was to create a local oasis: a place of ease, connection, and playful simplicity. Bold colors and patterns lift a neutral backdrop; striped tiled walls, dotted floors, and hand-crafted details offer a welcoming and fun environment. Thank you to Canvas Companies (@canvascompanies) for trusting us with the revitalization of this space; 3D Renovations (@3drenovationsinc), Office Hours (@officehours.work), and The Loss Prevention (@thelossprevention) for your essential contributions to this project. Ryokou: Ryokou is an intimate, modern Omakase experience with an aesthetic drawing from the philosophy of wabi sabi, or impermanence. We carefully composed a dining environment that honors the historic materiality and places culinary craft at the center of the experience. Thank you to the Ryokou team (@ryokou.atl @chefleonardyu @omakasetable.atl @nihon_chef_paul) and the Braden Fellman Group (@bradenfellmangroup @abramsfixtures) for working with us to craft this special space. 📸 Event photos courtesy of IIDA Georgia (@iidageorgia) and project photos by Andy Lee (@andrewthomaslee).
