⚡️CORE STABILITY⚡️

Obviously extremely necessary for cricketers to work on rotation and anti rotation due to the demanding nature of the sport.

Make sure you are training properly and specific to your sport and the movement demands 💯

Single-Leg Training or Unilateral Training is one of the Prime Aspects of Sports Fitness!
But Why???

💥 For One, in most of your movements in leading athletic and field sports, the legs each alternate between taking the load.
• In Cricket, for fast bowlers it's the run up, back foot and then front foot. For batsmen, the stance and then putting the body weight on either leg while taking the shot.
• Football, again lots of field running and then essentially a dominant foot that shoots.
• Basketball, involves a higher load on one leg to propel one into the jump towards the basket.
• And many more examples!

💥 This makes SINGLE LEG STRENGTH a vital requirement. Coz, even though the hamstring and quads are under pressure while on one leg; there are a numerous combination of stabilizer muscles (glutes, groin, core) which help you balance and prevent you from falling.

💥 Most often for sports that involve the slightest bit of running (exceptions like powerlifting and weightlifting) only one of our legs is on the ground.
Thus, unilateral training allows us to work in correspondence with our nervous system which is programmed to signal each leg individually.
• Strength Of Left Leg
+ Strength Of Right Leg >
Strength of Both Legs Working Together

💥 Single Leg Training is also held in high regard due to the safety provision being greater. It is thus, also quite employed in Injury Prevention and Injury Reduction Programs as well.

We hope this was helpful!
