A little kitchen catch up while I make dinner 😂💚

Made FADE AWAY back in 2023 and held onto it because I always knew it was going to be the start of my album era. Now it’s finally out in the world and you’ve given it the biggest first week of any of my singles EVER 😭

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone listening, sharing and showing this song love. Especially the @officialevergreens. You lot are everything 💚

Anyway, dinner’s ready and apparently I’m sharing @kiran.landa secret sauce recipe now 😂

Love you xx

Had a lovely catch up with @rgmmagazine! 💚

We chatted about growing up in Nottingham, learning to enjoy promoting my own music, the state of the music industry, making Fade Away and some of the chaos I’ve experienced on tour 😂

I’ve shared a few bits from our conversation here, but you can read the full interview at the link in my bio!

Shout out to everyone mentioned in this one! @brasstracks @lovesupremefest @mostly_jazz @glastofest @hockleyhustle @earthwindandfire @iamsaffrongray @altblkera @jayahadadream @cassellthebeatmaker @liambailey.music and @eric_appapoulay

Big love to RGM for having me xx

💚 1 WEEK OF FADE AWAY 💚

I want to say first that numbers shouldn’t be the decider on whether you feel the joy that comes with sharing music.

I made a rule a long time ago never to check the numbers during week one. They don’t predict the future (Sleeping On My Own did 200 streams in its first week, then hit a playlist and did 5k the week after!)

But knowing this release would be the start of the run-up to the album and the next tour, the Capricorn part of me needed a target 😂

What you’re basically seeing is me psyching myself up to remember to enjoy the week ahead, regardless of what the numbers might say.

Because releasing music is NOT EASY. The journey to even get to the point of releasing a song can be huge. I recorded Fade Away in 2023 and then had to hold onto it while I worked towards the album.

So with all that said, 15,000 STREAMS IN ONE WEEK?! 😭💚

I know to some artists those numbers might not seem like a big deal, but this is the biggest first week I’ve EVER had for a release. And I genuinely can’t quite believe it.

Thank YOU for streaming Fade Away. To all the @officialevergreens who messaged me and shared screenshots of themselves listening, you were literally the only way I knew people were hearing it without checking the numbers. The love for this one has been unreal, and I’m so, so grateful. 💚

Massive love to the team @kycker @eudoramusicproductions @itmpresents and of course @cassellthebeatmaker @eric_appapoulay @liambailey.music @joyfarrukh for making this one with me in the first place.

Love you all big time 😭💚

FADE AWAY is getting its first radio play tonight on BBC Introducing East Midlands! 💚📻

Thank you SO much for all the love you’ve shown this song over the past 24 hours. I’ve been so excited to finally start sharing this new music from the upcoming album with you, and it means the world seeing so many of you listening, sharing and getting behind it already.

Dean Jackson (@beatonthebeeb) first played me on BBC Introducing back in 2012, when I released my first ever single, Cardinal. I feel so lucky to have gained such an amazing fanbase (hey @officialevergreens!), to get to build headline tours and release my own music — I don’t think 2012 me would have ever believed it!

Making this new music and my debut album has felt like another huge leap, so to have Fade Away played on Introducing as we begin this next chapter feels really, really special.

Thank you to Dean and the BBC Introducing East Midlands team for continuing to support my music, and thank YOU to everyone who’s listened so far. 💚

Tune in tonight! 📻

Tomorrow the next single from my debut album is yours. I’m so excited for you to hear this. The road to this point has been LONG (yes I’m doing a podcast episode about it….!) Release Eve is always a weird one, but today I’m feeling so grateful and joyful for this year - wouldn’t be here without some truly magical people @cassellthebeatmaker @itmpresents @eric_appapoulay @liambailey.music and @joyfarrukh and also the absolutely unbelieveable @officialevergreens . I can wait to play this for you live in November 😍💚✨
