Disco’s Revenge had its International Premiere at @docnycfest last week, a big moment for a film steeped in the city’s nightlife history (plus co-director Peter Mishara’s hometown).

Here’s Pete and co-director Omar Majeed with two of the key voices in the film, Nicky Siano and DJ Spinna. Plus, amazingly, Felipe Rose from The Village People.

“We are here, and we’re not going anywhere!”

The erasure of LGBTQ+ identity and history is a growing threat. Across the US, LGBTQ+ culture is being suppressed in communities, schools, libraries, and museums. Without sharing our stories, future generations may never know the struggles and triumphs that shaped our community!

The Generations Project stands firm in ensuring that our stories are told, preserved, and celebrated!

We need YOUR support to help us #SaveOurStories

Please consider becoming a reoccurring monthly donor at the link in our bio. Your donations go right back into the community, directly supporting LGBTQ+ storytellers, performers, artists and our elders!

#SOS #SaveOurStories

In the face of old and new threats looming across the country, now more than ever LGBTQ+ people need to band together, use our voices, strengthen our resilience, and make sure our stories are not lost or erased. We must continue passing the torch!

The Generations Project needs YOUR support to help us #SaveOurStories

Our history and our culture won’t be found in school textbooks or on cable TV… It’s up to us to preserve it!

Much respect to @time magazine for this special edition & beautiful article on our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ ✝️🩸
I can’t imagine as He looks down from Heaven shedding tears of sadness & saying this is not the way it supposed to be. He created us to love each other even with our flaws.
I have never in all the decades on this planet 🌎 seen so much division & hate.
Whether you’re a Republican or Democratic, in thee end, no matter who wins thee election. I will be in full support. For now, let’s stop the hate & learn to love one another. No matter what race, beliefs, etc… instead of arguing, let’s speak love, teach love to our kids & simply just try to get along no matter the situation.
Without community there is no unity.
Please Spread Love ❤️

Join us tonight, August 27th, at 7:30 for a special screening of CAN'T STOP THE MUSIC, the vibrant and campy celebration of the disco era, produced by the legendary Allan Carr. This lively film captures the essence of the 1970s music scene, spotlighting the Village People, who became cultural symbols of the era with their catchy hits and unique characters.

Adding to the excitement, Felipe Rose, the original "Native American" from the Classic Village People, will be giving a special introduction. Don’t miss this chance to revisit a dazzling piece of pop culture history with one of its original stars. @officialfeliperose

From thee very 1st time I saw this young man, then a kid, dancing like he did, I knew he was going to be someone special. Especially for the Puerto Rican/ Latin community. Nonly can Josh dance, but sing & act as well. So all you tv people & music producers, especially you my brother @louievega I know you can come up with something great like your uncle Hector LaVoe to this new musical generation with Josh.
I will definitely be in that line to callab with Josh as well. Heck, he will be a great match for my granddaughter Alexa!!lol💕
