This is something that’s actually a really common mistake.

When you work out your calorie deficit (or have someone do it for you) it already includes your activity levels, including your workouts. So if you’re using MyFitnessPal, Fitbit, or Apple Watch and you’re eating back those “calories burned”... you’re probably undoing your progress.

Here’s what most people don’t realise:
1️⃣Your deficit already factors in how active you are
2️⃣Fitness trackers often overestimate calories burned
3️⃣Eating back those calories = erasing your deficit

🚫 No deficit = no fat loss

To stay on track: stick to your set calories

When it comes to fat loss, small details matter

The ‘tablespoon’ of sauce
The ‘splash’ of olive oil
The ‘15g’ of peanut butter

These things all add up, and can take you out of your calorie deficit.

Being successful in your fat loss journey is all about awareness, because you can’t fix what you don’t track.

Does this sound familiar?

You’re sticking to your calories Monday to Thursday/Friday, then the weekend rolls around... and you end up going way over your target.

Come Monday, you’re starting over again feeling stuck and frustrated.

Four days of discipline can easily be wiped out by three days of chaos.

If you want long term success, your approach has to be sustainable. Otherwise, it’s just a cycle of stop start, guilt, and burnout.

That’s why my coaching approach includes foods you actually enjoy and the results speak for themselves. If you want me to take the stress out of your journey, click the link in my bio 🔗

It’s actually so common to think you’re not making progress, when really you are just weighing yourself wrong!

And yes I know this seems a bit silly but I’m just trying to prove a point...

Weighing yourself at the end of the day will be a big difference to weighing yourself first thing in the morning, so follow these steps to get most accurate scale weight ✨

What you don’t measure, you can’t manage.

This is why you’re probably not seeing the results you want, l’ve been there too so I full understand the struggle!

How many times have you thought, “I’m eating healthy but I’m not seeing any changes?”

The truth is, it’s not always what you’re eating, it’s the portion sizes you think you’re having. If you’re trying to lose fat or build muscle, being accurate with your portions matters more than you think

Those little things like oils, sauces, nut butters, they add up fast

Measuring your food helps you stay in control. It’s not about restriction, it’s about having the knowledge to make better decisions and get where you actually want to be

And the more consistent you are, the more consistent your results will be

If you’re ready to stop going in circles and start making real progress, DM me TRANSFORM and I’ll help you build something sustainable that gets results.

I know some of you are out here finding creative ways to stay in a deficit😂

But in all seriousness, just because something is
‘smaller’ or ‘doesn’t weigh much’ doesn’t mean it’s got less calories
