POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

On the evening of June 2nd, my brother, Marcelo, died after an 18-month battle with a malignant brain tumor. Seeing my brother wither away like this was nothing I could have been prepared for. Cancer kills the body, but in the brain it changed your personality, it came and went. Your memory disappeared, came back and disappeared again. A fate I wouldn't even wish on my worst enemy.

My relationship with my brother hasn't always been smooth or easy, but when it mattered you were there for me.

I remember the day you came to Sweden. I had just gotten my first electric guitar. You asked me if you could try it out. I remember the guitar starting to feedback and you exclaiming "you don't even have to play this thing to make it sound!"
That sentence stuck, I built my entire way of playing and writing music on that sentence.
You are missed❤️

Me preguntaste si podías probarla.

Carlos Ibarra said: Let’s go to Morocco and record an experimental drone metal version of one of the most loved, classic pieces of Arabian music - Oum Kalthoum’s Enta Omry!

An offer simply not possible to resist. I mean, who doesn’t want to hear THAT?

This happened back in 2022, and now almost four years later, the recording is finally being released. Maulén - Enta Omry. @officialmaulen

What a trip it was. The incredibly deep night sky in the desert. The fresh mussels in the harbor, served by a man who had just been bitten by an octopus. The masterful gnawa musicians. The stomach related adventures. The bus rides over the Atlas Mountains. The never ending search for loveliest clothes. But most of all, the deep conversations and the connection with each other, with the people we met and with the music itself. I thank all of you beautiful souls immensely for this experience! @halfofeverythin9 @carlossepulvader @tjackballe @mustachekindofmorning @johanlundsten @ttuoma
