Thank You 2024 …
The year of the reset

Started Therapy ; trusting myself & all of the progress Ive made in life… getting out of my own way & going after the things I want.

Went to LA for the first time for a screening of the short I star in “GREYLOCK”

Spent more time with the people I love (old faces & a sprinkle of new) & made some beautiful memories that I’ll cherish forever.

So much more has happened this year but overall a very very peaceful year … im excited for you 2025 … Please be good to me🙏🏾🧡

iLIVE UK | ALBUM OF THE WEEK - LOVE 2

With the release of Reel People’s first original album in over a decade, Love2. Produced by core collective Oli Lazarus, Mike Patto and Toni Economides, and with a fresh vocal line-up including Raheem DeVaughn, Muhsinah, Chantae Cann, Michael Champion, Paula, Jill Rock Jones, Eric Roberson and Arrested Development’s Speech, this super-fine, 10-track opus marks a further powerful evolution of the Reel People sound.

Love2 is a monumental addition to the Reel People canon, following acclaimed album releases Second Guess, Seven Ways To Wonder and Retroflection.
New songs and sounds, but the same soulful passion and craftsmanship. New friends and flourishes but the same mission to move hearts, minds and dancefloors.

Tune in to www.iLiveUK.com Wednesday & Friday at 6:00pm GMT for our Album of the Week.

Weightloss is no easy journey

I’m a mom of 2 and never had weightloss surgery. I’m super proud of that. This video was taken in 2020 in the middle of a pandemic. I had started working with a virtual trainer who switched up my eating habits and developed a workout program that was….not easy lol. But I was disciplined and stuck to this 30 day process. I absolutely loved my results.

I’ve gained a bit of a weight since then. Although the weight looks good on me, my fat starts going to all the right places first but I know what comes next. As a black woman working out is hard! Unless you’re an athlete it wasn’t something that was a part of our culture growing up. Idk about you but my mom was a hard working single parent raising 4 kids. She wasn’t in nobodies gym (although she still looks good).

When you see me working out on here please don’t think it is easy for me. I’m no athlete or trainer and I struggle with consistency and discipline.

I’ve decided for the next 30 days I’m committed to my health and wellness. I need to get back on track because although I may not look “big” to some of you, I don’t feel good. I feel more tired and I don’t like what I see in the mirror, personally. Im not going to be one of those ppl who claim to love themselves as is simply because they don’t want to put in the work. If I have to start over 7 million times I will but the journey continues.

If you feel this way my friend and trainer now has moved on to helping ppl drop the same amount of weight in just half the time. 15 lbs in 15 days with her new program. Go to her page and check her out. Now is a perfect time because there’s currently a contest that you could potentially win $25,000! (I’ll let you in on a little secret 🤫. I’ve won the contest before and used the money for a downpayment for my house). Life changing ❤️
