Meet @daanteee, one of Australia’s most inspiring basketballers ❤️ Dante is a Melbourne-born @nba guard, @australianboomers, @olympics bronze medallist and former number five NBA Draft pick. His career has taken him from Australia to the NBA with the @utahjazz and @cavs, across Europe with Barcelona and Partizan Belgrade, and back to the NBA with the @dallasmavs, alongside representing his country on the Olympic stage. What makes Dante’s story so powerful for children is not just the level he has reached, but the resilience it has taken to keep going. His journey has included pressure, injuries, setbacks, comebacks and moments where he has had to back himself again and again. That is such an important message for kids. Success is not always a straight line. Sometimes you have to pause, recover, rebuild, keep believing in yourself and keep showing up. We are so grateful to Dante for sharing his time and energy with @happysoulskids. His story reminds children that big dreams take patience, courage and resilience, and that even the people they look up to have had to work through hard moments to get where they are. We are on a mission to support 100,000 children with the tools to understand their emotions, build resilience and believe in themselves. The 🌎 lost a real character today as Michael Ray “Sugar” Richardson @rayraytru33 went home to be with the Lord. Famous & infamous he was a fascinating guy from being raised in Denver to his last days in Lawton OK. I coached against him in the @officialnblc & he was a tough competitor & a huge personality. I never took anything he said or did personally so he was easy to get along with… He struggled with stuttering but never stuttered when he spoke Italian (which he spoke fluently)… RIP Mike & 🙏🏻🙏🏽🙏🏿 for your family‼️ #adifferentleague 🇺🇸🏀🇨🇦 “Where the SPIRIT of the GAME LIVES”
