🚨 CLASS OF 2031 — NATIONAL TOP 100 🚨

My first ever national ranking is here.

First, I want to make it clear: this list is not meant to disrespect or overlook anyone. There are a TON of talented players in the 2031 class, and narrowing it down to 100 was extremely difficult.

Being outside of the Top 100 does not mean a player isn’t talented, doesn’t have a future at the next level, or can’t make a big jump. This class is still very young, and there is plenty of time for players to develop, improve, and change the conversation.

What are the chances of this happening? Probably pretty low.

And not because of the kids—but because of us, the parents and adults.

Too often, we become so focused on the dream of our children “going pro” that we overlook the people who are pouring into them along the way. The reality is that only a very small percentage of young athletes will ever become professional athletes. But the lessons they learn through sports—discipline, accountability, perseverance, teamwork, confidence, and respect—can stay with them for the rest of their lives.

So what about appreciating the coaches and mentors who invest their time, energy, wisdom, and love into our children? The people trying to prepare them not just to become better athletes, but better young men.

I can’t speak for every coach, but I know why I do it. I coach because I believe this is part of my purpose and my ministry. There is no financial gain in it for me. I simply believe that if all the time, sacrifice, conversations, practices, encouragement, and life lessons I give can positively impact even one child, then I’m doing God’s work.

God has blessed me richly—not just financially, but with health, wisdom, experience, and the ability to give back. And I pray that when I’m old, some of the kids I poured into will remember—not necessarily the wins, trophies, rankings, or points they scored—but that someone cared enough to believe in them, challenge them, teach them, and help prepare them for life. Today is my birthday, and I turn 51 years old.

When I look back over my life, one of my greatest accomplishments isn’t becoming one of the biggest promoters in the world. It’s my ability to pour into young people and positively impact their lives.

Because long after the game is over, the impact of a great coach or mentor can remain.

That’s the real win.
