The greatest gift we’ve been given is not talent, luck, or circumstance. It is free will. The ability to choose who we become despite what has happened to us. To think a different thought. To take a different action. To walk away from what no longer serves us and move toward what does.

Every day presents a decision. Remain the same, or become something more. Your future is not written by your past. It is written by the choices you make when no one is watching.

You may not control every event that enters your life, but you control the meaning you assign to it, the response you give it, and the person you decide to be because of it. Within that freedom lies your power. And within that power lies the ability to create an entirely different life.

Paradox (Ep20)

The paradox of luck: Sometimes it feels like the people who deserve the most success get the least, while those who coast through life get handed everything.

luck is a mysterious force that can be both cruel and kind. It can lift us up one moment and dash us down the next. Maybe instead of trying to figure out why some people seem luckier than others, we should focus on being ready for opportunity when it knocks, and on being resilient when it doesn’t. After all, luck may be unpredictable, but our response to it doesn’t have to be.

I forgot the colour where I came from

It’s not even sad. It’s just weird. Like I know I used to be… more. Brighter maybe. Louder, lighter, whatever. I can’t remember what that even looked like and I’m not sure I care enough to chase it.

Some days I feel like I’m running ten minutes behind my own life. I’m technically alive, emotionally blurry, waiting for a bus that doesn’t run anymore. I show up, I smile, I say the right things, but there’s this….. space in me. Like I left the stove on somewhere in the past and I’m too far away to go back and check.

I’m not falling apart, I’m just not all here. Mostly I’m just an unpaid extra in the movie of my own existence. I don’t get a script, and half the time I forget what scene I’m supposed to be in.

I think I left myself somewhere between 2019 and a poorly timed decision I now pretend was woke.

People say ‘just be present’ like I didn’t try that once and immediately disassociated.

But hey, at least I’m consistent at forgetting. Maybe I’m not lost, just really, really good at losing myself, and I’m okay with that. And as I’m typing this, I realize half the words don’t mean what I thought they did.

So here I am, a little less colour, a little more noise,
holding space for whatever this is and honestly, not better….. just used to it now.

Reminder, you didn’t come to impress them. You came to become. To not leave undone.

Once you’re willing to be yourself, you open the door to everything that comes with it.

You’re willing to sit with heartbreak, not run from it. To feel the weight of loss, the sting of loneliness, and still keep breathing.

You accept the good days, the ones that feel like light pouring in through cracks and the bad days, where shadows stretch long and thick, blurring the edges of hope.

You learn to hold the anxious buzzing under your skin without letting it define you, like a strange companion you didn’t ask for but can’t ignore.

You’re willing to let your heart break open again and again, because inside those cracks is where real growth lives.

You don’t shy away from the rawness, the discomfort, the unknown. You lean into it. You learn that to be fully alive is to be vulnerable, tangled up in joy and pain and everything in between.

Because that’s what your willing is, it’s just human. It’s just you.
