If you’ve been here a while, you know Dear Mom Cafe is a longtime favorite of mine.

My friend JJ, the owner, invited us in for dinner to check out the newly remodeled space and patio, and the indoor/outdoor refresh is beautiful. Fun, colorful and with just the right touch of whimsy.

There is rarely a time I go to Dear Mom without ordering the Daddy Garlic Shrimp: crispy garlic shrimp, garlic butter, jasmine rice, a fried egg and Thai seafood sauce. We also split vegetarian Grandma’s Pad Thai.

We were with the girls, so we ordered a variety of small plates from the happy hour menu too: the potstickers, Garden Citrus Salad, Pork Belly Jim Jeaw and corn ribs. The potstickers were new for us and the girls loved them, but the corn ribs are still my favorite.

They’re also known for an inventive bar program, so there are always some fun cocktails on the menu alongside dinner.

With the remodel, Oh My Goodness Bakery officially has a brick and mortar home inside Dear Mom, but don’t worry, they’re still doing pop ups. And in the mornings, the space is home to their new breakfast concept, 8 am Breakfast.

Not a bad day at the office 🪻

Nothing about @thaifarmhouse is quiet or minimal. This is flavor, color, texture explosions for all of the senses - so the imagery has to be too! We had so much fun shooting with this incredible team!
