From floorboard-bending house shows in New Orleans, to managing some of your favorite rising artists, one thing has never changed: the philosophy.

Our goal isn’t a goal, it’s a lifestyle — and a badge of honor we wear proudly.

OFFRIP was built on community — on what happens when creatives pool resources, move as a unit, and bet on each other. That energy has taken us further than success… it’s given us real relationships, riveting experiences, and unforgettable moments.

We can’t manage everyone, but we can still build with you.

That’s why we’re launching OFFRIP Records — a boutique distribution service for independent artists.

For this year’s domestic adventure, we are spending two weeks exploring California. Last week, we were in Los Angeles visiting my brother, his girlfriend, and her wonderful family. Some highlights included:
- Sharing an outstanding mix from Kettle Glazed Doughnuts. Normally my circular food of choice is a bagel but LA has a strong donut scene.
- Breakfast burritos from Cafe Los Feliz and Clark Street Diner. California tortillas have really been putting NY to shame…
- Visited the historic Mexican marketplace on Olvera street and bought some colorful souvenirs (I was particularly drawn to the beautiful beaded earrings)
- Enjoyed homemade Armenian bbq and games with family in Sherman Oaks. Got to meet our cats-in-law: Disco, Cha-Cha, and Boogie
- Went for a hike in Malibu Creek State Park, followed by falafel sandwiches at Malibu Mutts and a beach hang at Broad Beach. Then caught up with friends in Santa Monica and took our first Waymo ride (driverless car). Personally I’ll be happy if I never have to drive a car again.
- We stayed in Silverlake and it was super walkable albeit hilly. We walked around the Silverlake reservoir and to Echo Park and back (including the Silverlake Flea shopping extravaganza). Enjoyed Persian ice cream at Mashti Malone’s, gelato and a lavender latter at Pazzo, a cheeseburger at the Win~Dow, and the best meal ever at @seco.silverlake where our wonderful family friend @ihy_nye is cheffing it up
- Family hike up to the Hollywood sign on the Brush Canyon trail. Super inclined but worth it for the views
- A trip to the original farmers market at the Grove to stock up on top quality beef jerky from Huntington Meats for Leonidas, pickle juice shots, and plenty of browsing/sampling
- Other restaurants we loved: Dan Sung Sa for $2 skewers in Koreatown and Salsa & Beer for ginormous margaritas, asada platters, and bottomless chips and salsa
Now that I’ve written it all out, it’s obvious LA founds its way to our hearts by way of our stomachs, but I swear we also enjoyed the people, scenery, and shopping too!! Meanwhile our wonderful friend who is cat sitting reports that Madeline is also eager ti try some new snacks (see last pic).

If you know me, you know I love a good prank, a sneaky trick, a secret bit. So imagine my surprise when my ever honest and gullible Leonidas pulled off the surprise of the year. Our small family trip turned surprise proposal turned surprise EXPANDED family adventure! I cannot express in words how special it was to me to have our families come together for this event and share a holiday together—just kickstarting the lifetime of adventures to come with our families melded as one.
How lucky are we that our love for each other is amplified by a chorus of family and friends who bring so much support and fun into our lives. Thank you to the family members who worked together to pull off this plan. We love you all ❤️ And thank you to the family and friends near and far who have reached out to show your love—it is felt deeply, our hearts are overflowing!
