This was a really honest and open conversation that me and my mum had on @offscriptwithsaroverandmum I’m so proud of mum for being so candid and real about topics that our community need to speak more on instead of judging others.

I hated my life growing up surrounded by toxic/abusive environments and people from a young age. My mum decided she had no choice but to break those generational cycles for us and power through against the “norm”. I would not be anywhere without her strength and resilience. Forever my inspiration 🤍

Having this convo was like therapy and was so nice to reflect on how far we have come from having some of the worst times imaginable with no one to support us. It just proves there is always a light at the end of tunnel.

Dear Mum,

I know I don’t say this enough… but I’m so proud of you. I love you and thank you for everything. And yes, I promise to hug you more!

Growing up I wasn’t the easiest child, strong willed, opinionated, and sometimes full of attitude. (Tracy Beaker & Horrid Henry - mum blamed you!)

You never let the opinions of others, finances or society hold you back. You always stood by me, supported my goals and gave me everything you could.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums shaping the next generation through love, strength and sacrifice.

And to anyone missing that person today, I’m sending you love 🤍
