this rager is TMRW! cmon you metalheads

Offworld Endeavours brings a night of doom, death, and black metal from the best in the South West - Warcrab, Monolithian, and Coffin Fodder

Plymouth's long running death/doom/sludge masters WARCRAB make their return to Penryn/Falmouth for the first time since their sold out show in the Cornish Bank in '23. For fans of Crowbar, Conan, Autopsy. It's going to be heavy as shit.

Falmouth's very own MONOLITHIAN play a rare local show so really make sure not to miss this. In the past few years they've played all over including shows in Norway and supporting the legendary powerviolence band Iron Lung. They're pretty much Cornish metal royalty. If you don't know what they're about then where have you been?! Heavywieght doom two-piece. The real deal. Bang your head.

COFFIN FODDER make their long overdue return. They have navigated the pits of hell returning heavier, more evil...and with a new drummer! Kernow's premier black metal band with one of the best vocalists in the South West. New album out soon!

There will be tickets on the door. No one turned away for lack of funds.

A couple of big festivals and some smaller shows to highlight this week!

1. The biggest bands of the week (and where I'll be) come at Burn it Down Festival in Torquay starting tomorrow until Saturday. A massive load of hardcore, punk and alternative with some big international, UK and local acts featuring (including @funeral.band @tummyachemusic @coldshowersuk @tonguebreak.hc @apathy.uk and @exterminatushc for local representation)

2. Another stacked lineup is (unfortunately almost totally clashing) Plymouth Punk Picnic, with several bigger artists coming down, the usual bunch of Devon favourites and some Cornish representation (@shoesoff_band and @pieceworkband) running Thursday until Sunday.

3. Doom metallers Witchsorrow hit Exeter Cavern on Friday fresh off Arctangent, supported by Outback.

4. Also on Friday at Cafe Momus, it's Elio Evangelou's album release, raising money for the Gaza Education Initiative. With Calvin Thomas, Rosie Newton and Crow Jonty.

5. Offworld Endeavours have a bill of techno, EBM and screamo at Underland on Saturday, with Unterwerk, Xanax and Heather (first show under new name).

6. At The Fish Factory, alt-country band Slow Motion Cowboys return after playing outside at The Princess Pavilion last year. With Daphne Valentine and H.B Whitman

7. Finally, on Saturday, 90s psych britpop band Kula Shaker play a show in the unique Carnglaze Cavern venue near Liskeard. Raising money for those affected by the collapse of Kernofornia festival. Supported by the excellent Other Woman from Plymouth and hot new Penzance psych band Mint.

A few great shows coming up this week!

1. Offworld Endeavours present a crazy mixed bill at the Cornish Bank, with Bristol's Parusight (black metal), local heavyweights Tøker (stoner / doom) , newcomers Zipit (beatdown) and local dungeon ayntg from Temple of Belinus

2. At The Fish Factory on Friday, there's a selection of fresh indie alternative and shoegaze acts with Blue Touch Paper, Porth, Dead Haze and Autosleeper (who were very impressive on their debut show a few months back).

3-4. Two brilliant shows in Plymouth on Saturday practically next door to each other. At Cafe Momus is some fantastic punk in Irked down all the from the North East, with Falmouth screamo Play.vxn, Falmouth hardcore Backboard, Bath shoegazers Shutterspeed and locals Divot (last show) .

Around the Corner at Leadworks, is Exeter's brilliant noisy riot grrrl The Maisonettes, Falmouth's emo post-hardcore favourites Wreck Rebirth, Falmouth post-rock Sprig (another great new band, first show out of Cornwall) and Bristol pub rock Jed and the Microwave. Drag from Ophelia Gutz and Baby Bat complete this massive Non-binary People's Day party!

Go to both!

5. Over in Newquay is another interesting event with a selection of indie, garage rock and emo bands hitting The Dead Famous. With local favourites Mutant Menace, Ny Smooch, Feedback 506, Toothache and Eska.

Metal fans of Cornwall. Stop what you are doing and check this out!

@offworldendeavours have put together a night of heavy heavy music at @cornishbank on Thursday 16th July.

Lineup features....

PARUSIGHT is coming down from Bristol for their first ever Cornish show. Four piece, raw black metal inspired by the second wave of black metal in the 90s and a dose of modern melodic castle-metal PARUSIGHT brings eerie, razor sharp guitar tone and rasping vocals to their gothic themes of fantasy, loneliness, love, death and coldness. There are slower moments of atmospheric mournfulness combined with anthemic highs and cathartic triumph born through pain but all the way PARUSIGHT never loose sight of the raw, DIY spirit of true black metal. Praise the dark lord that there is finally some black metal coming to Kernow.

Support from:

TOKER Falmouth stoner/doom heavyweights. If you have not yet caught them flattening an audience with RIFFS then now is your chance!

TEMPLE OF BELINUS new dungeon synth project from Falmouth. Featuring the mastermind behind local industrial crushers 7th HEATHEN. It's going to be sick. Hoping that this will be for fans of early Mortiis but we'll have to wait and see.

ZIPIT first show for this new Falmouth beatdown/hardcore. No expectations except their singer has a crazy vocal range and a wild presence in life in general, so looking forward to seeing them on stage! Expect some two-stepping at the least.
