You asked how we lit “The Alchemist” short documentary scenes.
There you have it! 💡

A little behind-the-scenes anecdote: as you can probably tell from the behind-the-scenes footage, we filmed the interview at night.
For this scene, we recreated the illusion of daylight, notably by projecting rays of light onto the wall behind the sculptor.
Since we filmed during the winter, this allowed us to take several hours to set up and shoot the interview without having to worry about changes in natural light throughout the day.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask us 🙌

Deliberately stepping away from naturalistic work to explore the deep contrasts, amber-hued lighting, and organic, grainy soul of classic noir.

LATEST MUSIC VIDEO - BTS #1

I recently shot a music video with my friend @oftwolands for the talented songwriter singer @jackieminton .
We had the great opportunity to film it in an old library from the 19th century.
So here is the part #1 of how we lit this video.
A huge thanks to my friends Mael and Martin for assisting us on this shoot.

We have a weakness for a good camera build.
Even more when Simera-C is sitting up front. 🎥

1 month ago I dropped a music video for a song I recorded 5 years ago. Making this video felt like stepping back in time sonically and visually, thanks to the incredibly well preserved library archives of my town in France.

Creating is good. Recreating is too.

I’m grateful to my collaborators @oftwolands & @thomas_teissier that encouraged me to revisit this song.

Special thanks to the city of Le Puy for sharing such a beautiful place with us 📚

Cheers to making something new out of something old! Find « in the middle » in my bio 🧡
