TONIGHT… can’t believe we pulled it off! Join us for an open bar with hosted food while you are immersed in art from fourteen different Los Angeles artists. Our goal has been to raise funds for art education @chrisloosmedia heading a great charity @communityreimagined.ca

We took over a vacant space, and with creativity, community and some serious elbow grease, we transformed the empty walls into a beautiful and artistic experience.

Help us give back, tonight. My bio has the ticket links and we open up for our first showing at 5pm. See you tonight!

Special shout out to @matiasnardi for the incredible video and coverage. @kingofgfx @nardimedia

Thank you to our team behind the scenes. @colonelcobra @oasis_mobile_bar @pacificproductionsla @on_board_la @pielifepizza @photoworksbyrick @elaccortez1 @realtordonna and so many more.

God, bless the woman who still finds a reason to smile through it all. That smile carries faith, sacrifice, and a love that keeps showing up beside Big Sleeps.
Through the uncertainty, she has stayed. Through the hurt, she has loved. And when strength was hard to find, that love helped carry her another day. Lord, hold Monica the way she has held him. Give her rest without guilt, room to cry, and arms to lean on when she’s tired. Let her feel the love she gives so freely coming back to her.Bring healing to Big Sleeps and peace to their hearts. Keep that beautiful smile alive, and give them more moments of joy together. Con fe, fuerza y amor. Amen. 🙏🏽— René PoetKing Rodríguez

Some memories never get old… just a solid crew going back to the things that made us kids. And sometimes you get lucky enough to bring home a portrait of a brother, captured by a true artist. Different years, same streets, same memories. the old ones remind us where we came from, and the new ones show us how far we’ve made it. 🖤💯

Painted Promises was put together by the same crew of artists who hosted the community project and rebirth of Loma Alta Park in Altadena after the Eaton Fire. The community outreach has been big over the years both as a group and as individuals. We brought along some more of our friends this year for Painted Promises. The types of friends who see community the same way we do. See you Friday! Ticket link is in my bio.

We did it. More news to celebrate this week. But now it’s your time, to do your part. Buy tickets. The bar is open, the food is awesome and art is everywhere. It’s a charity event but it’s also a party to celebrate how much this event has already done. Tickets are available in my bio, and you have three different ways to join us throughout the weekend. Proceeds go to @communityreimagined.ca who are introducing art programs on a community level, that have been stripped from our education system. Giving art a chance in your community!

Know the culture before you speak on kings. Know the hands behind the letters, the years behind the name, and los writers who laid it down before you.
Some where along the pathways of Los Angeles, our worlds cross—un saludo, una historia, respeto entre quienes remember when getting your name up meant everything. I grew up watching these walls speak. Now I carry a camera and create arte with the same love for the streets that raised me, honoring the kings, la historia, and the culture I’ve lived close to. Con respeto, para la cultura. From the streets, for the streets, through my lens. —Rene PoetKing Rodriguez
