"Don't think twice about it. Take the plunge. You'll really enjoy it here."

When I got the casting notification for Noises Off, I got this sick sensation in my stomach. I was absolutely convinced I wasn't good enough for this part. That I couldn't do it. A majority of the starting rehearsals left me feeling like I had put myself into a position where all of my weaknesses were on full display. Somewhere, along the way, I decided I was sick of that feeling. I shoved it into a back corner of my mind, and made the choice to look at myself in the mirror every day and tell myself I could do it. Playing Brooke changed how I look at myself. From this show, I take a newfound confidence, a joy for life + art, and friendships I didn't see coming.
I could go on and on about Oglethorpe Theater and the beautiful, kind, talented people in it, but I'd quickly run out of words.
All I can say is: to the person, nervous to audition, "Don't think twice about it. Take the plunge. You'll really enjoy it here."
Thank you to everyone involved backstage, on stage, and in the production process. Your talent is incredible. Ok Sappy post over! Waaa sardines!!!

Misplaced props, forgotten lines, and messy relationships can make a theatre show fall apart, but they're what make Oglethorpe's production of "Noises Off" a hilarious joyride! Students will take the Conant stage for the show's final weekend tonight, tomorrow, and Saturday at 8:00 PM, and Sunday at 2:00 PM. Students, faculty, and staff receive free admission; general tickets are on sale at the link in our bio.

“Sardines fly. Doors slam. Tempers flare. Lines are missed. Cues are blown. Injuries come about. Yet that is exactly wha is supposed to happen. The latest production by Oglethorpe University Theatre, “Noises Off,” embraces chaos and turns it into comedy.”
