“Get in touch with the people most furthest away from you. That’s how you get closer to God”. Wise Words from my OG.

I’ve been told by many that what makes me a great producer is my ability to live inside the vision of the artist.

@ogvybe is a one-of-one artist. Multifaceted, incredibly gifted, but above everything else, soulful. With Odane, music isn’t simply something he makes. Music is life. It is how he feels, how he communicates, how he remembers, and how he makes sense of the world.

When you’re working with an artist like that, you can’t approach the music casually. Every detail matters. Every sound has to have a reason. Every decision has to serve the emotion, the story, and ultimately his vision. That requires patience. It requires discipline. And it requires being meticulous enough to make sure that what he hears and feels inside of him is fully realized by the time it reaches the listener.

“Closer to Me” was an amazing experience. An elevated experience. And because of that, the challenge of creating “Closer to God” has become one of the greatest honors that could ever be bestowed upon me.

My partners know the lengths I’m willing to go to make something timeless. Something classic. Something that can live far beyond the moment.

Very soon, Closer to God will belong to the world. Until then, I truly appreciate the love, the belief, and especially the patience the fans have shown throughout this process.

We’re not taking our time to make another project. We’re taking our time to make something that time itself can’t erase.”

Cheers to 10 years of @rumpunchbrunch . 🥂

Ten years of being the illest, the biggest, the greatest international party in the South and the whole East Coast.

Ten years of culture, music, memories, packed rooms, unforgettable Sundays, and a community that turned a party into a movement.

And through every era, every venue, every DJ, every city, there has always been one secret ingredient holding it all together…

That RumPunch.

So raise your glass to the people who built it, the people who lived it, and the people still carrying the vybe forward.

To 10 years down.

And many more pours to go.

Cheers to RumPunch. 🍹

September 29, 2019. Just two years after dellyranxmusic dropped the timeless anthem “Family,” he pulled up to RumPunch Brunch. And somehow, that moment captured exactly what @rumpunchbrunch was becoming.

Because in order to understand where RumPunch Brunch is going, you have to remember where RumPunch Brunch has been.

In the beginning, it was nothing but love. No blueprint. No machine. No big production. Just COMMUNITY. Back in @soundtableatl days, all we really had was each other, and that became the secret ingredient.

Now, as we step into Season X, I hope this generation of RumPunch Brunch faithfuls understands what they have, protects it, and appreciates it with the same love we had for those early days.

@djnenofyah & @blackplattnumsound been killin’ it then as they still take no prisoners till this day.

Before it became a movement, it was a family. And family is still the reason it moves.

God bless @thesoundtable & @rockersunltd because before today’s Mini Festival . Before the big stages. Before Season X… there was The SoundTable on Edgewood.

Vybes Я Us saw the vision, believed in the culture, and believed something special was being built long before the world could see what it would become.

From Edgewood to Believe Music Hall, every season became another chapter. Every DJ, every crowd, every late night, every risk helped build what eventually became one of the defining international parties in the South and the whole East Coast.

Almost 8 years later, the venues are bigger, the reach is wider, and the legacy speaks for itself.

But the soul?
That never changed.

Season X.
From a moment… to a movement. Cheers to you Rumpunch Faithfuls!

10 years ago, my brother @glendalefilms told that I needed to meet & connect with his good friend @dreggae at a party called @rumpunchbrunch on a Sunday.

Without any hesitation, we gathered our entire family and headed north for brunch…and the rest was HISTORY.

Over the course of the next couple weeks leading up to AFRO PUNCH, I will open up the VYBES Я US Vault.
