POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Managed to paint all the way through 2025 with only small breaks for flu, flooded workspace, heat stroke studio — big shifts, lots of reading (painting, colour theory, art history), continuing processing my family research through the medium, convos about place, secrets, belonging and being inside/outside a familial (but unfamiliar) culture with sis. Shedding old shit, embracing the ancestral. Wishing you a restful and contemplative Summer.

Ooosh. Heartbreaker.

We had a craving…see our stories for link to a sweet little playlist by @oh_blotto feat : Food songs. Food in titles, passing mentions…sometimes not really about 🍑 at all. 😉

Music, art, nature, movies, food….getting us through this pandemic. “Focus on the good.” A friend said recently after a particularly bad day….I might’ve heard “Focus on the food.” Either way, she was right ! Enjoy.

From Lockdown : Fourth playlist up! This one is from our Beasty fam + regular @oh_blotto — she’s got one of the most expansive musical appreciations you’ll ever meet. Hol created our opening night set list and with Em she helped establish some of that funky tone we’ve built our music around @eatupbeasty — we love her!

Here is a short and sweet playlist made during a pudding craving — what’s it like? “It’s like dessert.” 🎧😍👌🏽 Link in our stories ^^ and on the journal.

From Lockdown : In lieu of our food, our service + atmosphere — may we offer you a little succour for your isolation by way of some tunes...? 😄
.

First up — a few favs from a way way back. Bloody good. (Link in our story ^^) Enjoy. 😚⚡️🖤💥 .

List notes from Em : This is some of the music I grew up with, from my dad playing guitar in the lounge after dinner, to washing dishes together in the kitchen, blues, rock, bluegrass on the cassette player — that was his zone. A blue tarpaulin roped up on the garage, a village house (garage) party. As a teen my mates were fanatical musos whose band music appreciation was both technical, as young musicians + sensory, just kids. We drank Lion Red by the crate, stacked speakers atop each other to make towers of sound, ran from the cops when necessary + processed our turbulent teens best we could — with guitars, drums, rock n roll. 🖤
