It’s been exactly 1 year and 1 day since this moment. This moment truly changed my life. That girl really went into the water and died, a slow death that would continue for months to come. Going into the water was only the start of living a life of being Baptised by the Power of the Holy Spirit. Looking back, I didn’t even realise just how broken I’d been towards that moment and then everything changed. This photo makes me so emotional for too many reasons to explain, but one of the reasons is seeing my beautiful pastors, @millicentsedra @martinsedra holding my hands through this moment. The moment I was publicly declaring, ‘I’m coming back to you God’. That’s what it means to give up your life for the cause of Christ, so you can hold someone’s broken hand.. as they come back the Father. Ministry is choosing to hold someone’s broken hand up to the Lord, so they can say, “Lord save me”. What heavy and beautiful weight to carry and I’ve seen such leaders carry it with such grace at my home @echochurch_ Every leader that’s helped me along the way, Thank You 🥹 even my family, who stood with me with in this moment. I’ll be 30 in a couple months and I’ve seen a life of many painful moments but God planned this moment out so well because even after 30 years of sorrow and hardship, I can say without a shadow of a doubt, Jesus is REAL, His love undeniable, His Spirit powerful, mighty to save and He sits on the throne of Grace to wash you clean, restore your soul and bring you into Free and Spacious place, into the Kingdom of God, into His presence where you can finally surrender your soul.
