THE EXPERIENCE 🌟 As you’ve seen on the schedule, the big class of the morning is 108 sun salutations led by many different teachers in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.     Why 108?   108 is a sacred number that celebrated Globally.  It connects astronomy, human anatomy, and mathematics into a symbol of spiritual wholeness.     Think about it –     - the average distance from the Earth to the sun is 108 times the diameter of the sun (same with the moon) - there are 108 energy points and pathways in the body - there are 108 mala and rosary beads -there are 108 primary Upanishads, Hindu philosophical texts   That being said, we’re offering a practice of 108 sun salutations, to create meditation in motion, but the full practice is about an hour and a half (that’s a lot of chaturangas!).   We encourage you to pull back, step off your mat and mingle in the marketplace and hop back in, or take child’s pose a few rounds at a time.   This morning is for community.  This event is for you.  Remember, this is YOUR practice, and we encourage you to practice with intelligence and have fun!   Hope to see you this weekend! Be well! @jeanninelombardiyoga + @evenflowyogajerseyshore
