2020 has been real hard on a lot of folks. At times I felt as if we wouldn’t make it or would have to downsize, but our team hung tight and the work kept coming. We here at Deuxsouth are truly inspired by the hustle and intuitive innovation of our clients and friends. We saw the creation of fundraisers, collaborative events with competitors, the switch to drive thru and digital models, and the definition of something out of nothing.

I chose to post this photo of my great great grandfather Alfred Freeman (pictured on the left) to encourage everyone to keep looking up, collaborate and live the adventure that’s life, as best you can. So what if its 1878 and you are trying to photograph a solar eclipse that will maybe render you blind, or 2020 and Australia is burning, humanity locked down by a global pandemic, and the most divisive election in recent history is filling your every thought. Breath the moist air through the mask you found in a pile of crunched up snacks in your kid’s car seat and say “its good to be alive!”

As the number of covid deaths reach higher and higher numbers, i want to encourage everyone to stay safe and be conscience of your fellow humans. And do your best to keep those who have moved on in your thoughts and prayers.

Here’s to 2021!
