POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The relationships between life & death, grief & growing are such complex, yet simple concepts. Back in the spring I think somewhere deep down a part of me died. The little part left of me that was willing to accept anything if it meant I got something. There was a part of me that wanted to hold on to what I thought could have turned into forever with a little more effort but I had to come to terms with the fact that sometimes seasons change, and sometimes so do people. Around that time my energy was low. It was sad, one might even say heartbroken. I struggled to do everyday tasks & found it hard being present. I noticed it also started taking a toll on my plants. Several of them dropped leaves. My Fiddles collectively dropped all of their leaves and for a while I was worried it was the end for them.

Funny thing about plants is that sometimes it’s the pruning that helps them grow even more. One little Jade plant in particular has been showing me how resilient it can be. How regardless of what happens it chooses to keep growing. At one point I cried because I thought I had lost it too and the significance of what that represented to me at the time was truly devastating. But just like myself & the fiddles, after ending a cycle it is growing new leaves.

I forget sometimes that death is a doorway and grief is the bridge. Endings lead to new beginnings. Transformation requires the old to die away to make space for what’s new. Grief is how we release energy that can no longer remain in the body. When we allow ourselves the space to feel pain it gradually digs a well creating a larger capacity for love. We must let go of what no longer serves us, so we can align w/ our heart’s desires.

I’ve spent this summer learning more about myself through therapy, spending quality time w/ my community, caring for my body better & growing my spiritual practice more. This post is dedicated to everyone I’ve spent time & shared space w/ this season. You may not have known it but you were part of my healing journey. As I finish writing these last few pages in this chapter, I just wanted to reflect on & thank everyone who’s been apart of it. Seen & unseen.

Going into my 30s with an eclipse and people I love. Can’t get any better than this, but if it does, I won’t be mad🤭💖🎉

All donations made will go directly towards their eye exam and new glasses! 🚨‼️ COMMUNITY ACTION NEEDED ‼️🚨
Friends we absolutely need your help. While heading to work this morning an elderly member of our community was seen being evicted from her home. Someone’s mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend is sitting on the sidewalk with all of her things as we ask. Please help us get her a room at least for this evening so that she doesn’t have to sleep on the streets. She was afraid to ask her children for help and has let her aunt know her situation, however she’s unable to help. Once we are able to get her situated in a room we do plan on reaching out to her family to see if anyone else is able to help with keeping her and her belongings safe. Feel free to share this and never forget, any little bit helps and every little bit counts! 💚✨

I’ve truly been blessed to have people in my life who love on me. All of me. The silly, inquisitive, quirky, moody and sleepy sides of me too lol making memories and sharing genuine connections with my people is how I want to spend the rest of my days. Everything else that happens in between is a wonderful addition. My loved ones are my core 💕

We continued the solar return celebration this weekend with brunch and bubbly at @thehouseofmarigoldky 🥰 My goodness what a beautiful place with amazing staff, delicious food and really good drinks. Our server Ashley (excuse my spelling if incorrect) was absolutely phenomenal, had beautiful energy, was so kind and also took some great photos for us. She’s my new dragonfly friend lol

I had the Lavender Fields French Toast with a frozen peach Bellini and was in heaven. Farm fresh to the table is right!! It was so delicious and naturally flavorful I cleaned my plate. If I was at home I would have licked the syrup off the plate too but I was cosplaying a demure woman lol House of Marigold you will be seeing us soon!!

Thanks to our community and our had work we were able to help so many other grateful souls yesterday and through the evening ✨ We made about 3.5 gallons of chicken noodle soup and provided 21 friends with 2.5 cups of a warm hearty snack, and maybe a meal for some. We also made 3 gallons of hot chocolate and gave people the option of a 16oz cup or a 20oz cup. Many of them were able to get refills! We passed out 3-5 packs of hot hands to each friend, as well as dry blankets, tarps, coats, socks, hats, gloves, dry layers, and a contractor bag to keep things dry. At the end of our night we ran into a fellow in the highlands who had been turned around and confused about how to get to the Arthur Street Hotel. He was soaked from the snow and had very little keeping him warm, so after making sure we got him everything he needed to get dry, we decided to try and get him an uber. Little did we know there were absolutely none available in our area, so we took the initiative to take him to Wayside ourselves. We absolutely feared that he would not make it through the night. We learned so much about our friend in the short moment we crossed paths and genuinely think this man was an Angel. We made sure he got checked into the building and though they were down to just floor space bub was extremely thankful just to be helped. There’s so much to be said with the state of our government systems, but what’s understood doesn’t have to be explained. It’s up to us to take care of one another! Thank you to every single donor and a special shout out to @louisvillerollerderby and @heinebroscoffee for their contributions! Sending you all so much love and hoping every stays safe during this winter storm 💚✨
