Korean, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian, Hungarian, Polish, Greek, French, Persian, Portuguese, Estonian, German and English. That’s what a regular day at GON Berlin sounds like. Our artists come from all over, and each of them brings their own culture, references and handwriting into the work.

It started in Seoul with our co-founder @bk_tattooer and grew into a House where everyone ends up at the same table.

Max draws every design by hand, building dark fantasy pieces full of creatures, thorns and heavy texture. Ana’s black graphic work comes from old films and black and white photography, where solid black shapes carry the whole image. Two very different hands, one shared darkness. Their collaboration pieces bring both into a single composition.

A little recap of the past months in Berlin.

Long days at the studio, tattoos inside and outside, guest artists coming through, new faces joining the team and a lot of time spent together beyond tattooing.

This was my first silver workshop, and I’m very grateful to @whitepetal.jewelry @ino.di for this opportunity 🖤

I love noticing our distorted shadows when the three of us walk through sunny (sometimes) Berlin. I’ve always loved watching the way light and shadow play together. Maybe this is where my tattoo style came from.

And maybe that’s why I’m so drawn to simple silhouettes and cave paintings - just a few lines that can tell a whole story.

So I wanted to keep us just like that:
a little stretched, a little strange, but still us

His name isn’t a random alias. It’s how he thinks about a tattoo.

Ohrwyrd fuses two words. German „Ohrwurm,“ something that gets stuck in your head. Old English „Wyrd,“ fate. Something that lingers, and something that shapes where you’re headed. Not two separate ideas, just how he sees what a tattoo does.
Max grew up in Ukraine, sketching creatures straight out of early 2000s fantasy. In 2016 he left graphic design behind for something you can’t design, only feel. What stayed was heavy blacks, sharp lines, grainy dotwork, patchwork that breaks its own structure on purpose. Every piece built around your body, not placed on top of it.
Styles around him shift constantly. His world hasn’t. Same shadows, same weight, refined instead of replaced.
He’s not chasing a trend. He’s building something that stays with you the way his name suggests it should.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about how quickly time passes. And I realized it’s been exactly 10 years since I made my first tattoo on myself. Not long after, I tattooed a friend. At the time, it felt like a small step. Looking back now, it feels like the beginning of an entire lifetime. I had no idea where that decision would take me or how much it would shape my life.

A lot has happened since then. Good years, difficult years, moving to a different places, meeting amazing people, losing motivation, finding it again, questioning myself more times than I can count.

I think everyone goes through periods where they wonder if they’re doing the right thing with their life.
I still don’t have all the answers. I still question things. I still get tired. I still worry about the future sometimes.

But when I look back, what I remember most isn’t even the tattoos themselves. It’s the people. The conversations, the trust, the moments shared during long sessions, and all the lives that briefly crossed paths with mine.

Sometimes I think about how incredible it would be to gather everyone I’ve ever tattooed in one room. Just to talk, catch up, and see all those pieces again after years have passed.

Not just as tattoos, but as little fragments of different chapters of my life.

It’s a strange feeling, but that thought makes me smile.

Ten years can feel like a lifetime, but somehow it also feels like it all happened yesterday…
