POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’ve spent most of my career building things that had someone else’s name on them.
This night started that way too — it was a client’s event until it wasn’t. We had three days to decide whether to cancel or build our own.
We built.
And for the first time in a long time, the room I was standing in was ours. 🖤

3 days. Zero paid promotion. Almost 90 confirmed off word of mouth alone.
The First Date was our Houston debut — @riseagencygroup.co x @psensestudio — and what filled the room was real community. Organic connection, honest conversation, no forced networking.

Houston gets slept on in the creator economy & we’re not waiting for permission. This is just the beginning. 🖤

Thank you to everyone that came out, some even drove from far, and a HUGE THANK YOU to our incredible partners:

I WAS A FAIRY 🧚🏾‍♀️✨ @dreamconvention

The main mission was to catch @issarae chat about crafting stories and claiming power in media. Everything else was just a part of the frolick.

Sunday was the lightest day as far as the crowd goes and I was still overstimulated walking thru crowds and waiting in escalator lines while hungry. Biggest apologies to anyone who may have been grazed or slapped by my wings. We/I was just tryna make it thru to open space and food.

Finally got food and the sleepies caught up with us. Saw my sister as an irritated? sim then we slowly but sho’lly made our way to the exit.

As a first time #dreamcon attendee, if I wasn’t already preexhausted from the night before I’m sure I wouldve engaged more but I saw enough to be satisfied and inspired to come back prepared for next year. Which is allegedly set for June 18th (Juneteenth weekend) 👀

The Black Label Experience was packed with beautiful black ladies and gents dressed to the nines! ✨📸✨

A big highlight was the Oh Snap! Photography Photo Booth (@ohsnapsatx) - the team is so professional and reasonably priced, and the photo quality was high definition with a little soft glow. We highly recommend them!

Still reflecting on the Houston Black Creatives event this Saturday. ✊🏾🎬

It was powerful being in a room full of talented Black creatives—filmmakers, photographers, models, artists, and visionaries—all building something bigger than ourselves. The conversations, the energy, and the community really reminded me why I started creating in the first place.

This event didn’t just help me connect with amazing people… it inspired me to lean deeper into being an artist. Not just networking, not just working—but truly creating.

Grateful for everyone I met and excited for what’s coming next. Houston creatives are really doing something special.
